Levi walked down the grey sidewalk looking for something fun to do. He wanted to meet some new people and thought the perfect place was to go to a public place. Levi looked at the buildings and their signs as he passed them. He put his hands into his pocket of his grey basketball hoodie. He was wearing jeans that replaced his basketball shorts. His basketball shoes walked on the sidewalk stepping on all the cracks and spaces that were made into the sidewalk. He walked by the sign that said The Mile High Club he walked a few steps past it then took steps backward and pushed the door open. He was greeted with bright lights and blaring music. Right now I dont want to be in love was blaring over the speakers.
Levi walked up to the bar that served soda's and other drinks. I would like a Pepsi please. Levi said forking up the money. The waitress brought over the pepsi. Levi stuck the straw in it and swirled it around. He looked around for someoen he could talk to. Everyone had their dates and some people were dancing on the dance floor. Levi sighed lightly. He just wanted to meet some new people.

THe girl leaned against the wall, watching the people dance with a small smile on her face. She heaved a sigh as she straightened herself out and wandered over to the "bar" seating herself on a stool and ordering a Root Beer. Her long dark hair was worn in a loose side pony tail and hung down her shoulder. Jeans covered slim legs and cowboy boots covered her feet. She still hadn't quite adjusted to the whole "English" scene yet. A brown, slim fitting tee-shirt that read "Ride 'em, Cowgirl" in loopy white font was worn, with a little running horse necklace hanging from her neck.
She turned the stool to watch the people on the dance floor. Sharp blue eyes followed their movements. "They barely know how to dance..." she murmured to herself, thinking back to all the barn dances that had been held in their loft back home. Those were the good old days, when everything was care free. Things weren't so great now, but she refused to let herself think of that.
She turned back to sipping her root beer and her gaze fell on the boy who stood alone. She pushed herself off the stool and wandered over, leaning on the bar next to him, with a fair space between them so he didn't get any ideas in his little boyish head. "Hey," she said with a friendly smile, still holding the pop in her hand. "I'm Delany..." she offered. She wasn't a bit shy, and her whole demeanor was very bright and bubbly. She just came off as a very fun loving person. And she was.

Levi took a few sips out of his pepsi. His eyes wandered around him and saw a girl walking up close towards him. She walked up and introduced herself. Well thats a pretty name...Delany. Well nice to meet you Delany my name is Levi. Levi said smiling. The girl was very pretty but he respected what she thought of him. He had no clue what she thought of him. Levi looked behind him as he heard noise on the dance floor. Levi started laughing as he saw what had happened. A dancing couple had tripped and one of them fell to the floor. Someone needs to teach them to dance. Levi said trying not to laugh but it was hard not to.
You go to Canterbury? Levi asked her. He rested his arms on the bar as he looked at Delany as he waited for her to speak. He adjusted the arms of his sweatshirt. He didnt think he had seen her around Canterbury but he couldnt be sure. He had just started going to Canterbury so he didnt know anyone really. He had met some girls but thats about all. They were people that he could talk to and enjoy talking with. Levi turned to take a drink then turned his attention back to her. Looking back at the dance floor again Levi asked Do you dance? He wasnt really asking her if she wanted to dance but he didnt know if she danced or not. Or if she knew the people that were dancing.

When you smile Smile wide Don't show the hurt inside
The girl half choked on her drink and had to turn away and cough into her arm to keep from spitting all over him or something. No KIDDING someone needs to teach them to dance! she sputtered, still half laughing half choking. SHe regained herself and took a sip of pop. She nodded, still watching the people dancing on the floor. Yeah she responded. But I've hardly been to the actual academy.. she laughed.
She gave him a sideways smirk. Ooh yeah, I know how to dance. SHe grinned. The question is, do you? And what kinds... She smiled, almost sheepishly. I know this is gonna sound really dorky, but I've basically done ballroom. Like, swing and tango and stuff...Two-step, line dancing, yadda yadda. We had barn dances all the time back home. SHe nodded, still watching the dancers with a half amused, half disgusted look on her face.

Levi smiled at her as they talked about the dancers. Where do you call home? He asked her. He looked into her eyes and listening to every word she was saying. A smile stayed on his face. He took another drink of his pop which was almost gone. The waitress was heading his way to give him a refill. He nodded a thank you to her and then she headed off.
I know this may sound sort of weird coming from a guy but my parents made me go to dance lessons so that when a girl would want to dance I would actually know how. Pathetic I know but I took them...and now I know how to dance. Levi smiled at her. They may have to challenge those dancers out there and actually show them how to dance...the right way. Levi smiled at the thought. He would laugh if they actually went and showed them how real dancing was like.

Umm, a little itty bitty town in Eastern Montana, like, 8 miles from the North Dakota border. Doubt you've heard of it before. She grinned. Like, seriously, I think I've find like, 2 maps that actually has my home town on it... she laughed. What about you?
Her gaze turned on the people that shimmied around the dance floor. They really did just look a little bit dorky. She grined. Nah, not that dorky. My parents made my twin brother take lessons with my sis and me...But we had to learn from our parents! she laughed, turning her head to look at him with twinkling, merry blue eyes. Like, seriously, think about how embarrasing parents in general are, and then picture them trying to teach you how to dance...Like, right in the middle of a dance floor with all these other people who knew exactly how to do it. She laughed and shook her head.
Ok, I honestly can't take this anymore.. she laughed, setting her pop down on the bar and grabbing his hand, towing him out onto the dance floor. The song had moved to a slower one, and she settled one hand on Levi's shoulder, holding the other up for him to take, counting silently in her head, having to work to remember the steps. It's been ages since I actually danced, so I'm kinda rusty.. she laughed.
((OOC: It doesn't matter to me, Tanner. Hehe, sorry, was this thread supposed to be reserved? My bad..:/))

Levi smiled at what she said about her hometown. His was exactly like that except his was on like one map. A little town called Otoe, Nebraska. Levi said smiling. Levi turned and looked at the dancers again and next thing he knew he was being pulled onto the dance floor. Let's show them how its done. Levi said laughing. He put his hand on her hip and his other hand grabbing her hand.
I'm a little rusty too, but I think we'll be better then these guys. Levi said pulling her a bit closer. He started moving his feet to the beat which was slow but he didnt mind. He was enjoying himself. He noticed a few eyes from the others but he laughed a bit. Did you hear Canterbury is having a prom? Well would you want to go with me? Levi asked. He sucked at asking girls these type of things. He always felt like he wasnt doing it right. If she said no he was perfectly fine with it because they had just met. He smiled as they danced.
OCC: Tanner I can start another post too. Cause I wouldnt know how you could add into this. Sorry about that and no dont worry about it delany I forgot that I was going to rp with Tanner but dont worry about it.

She smiled as she laced her fingers with his, following his leads through the movements. She smirked. She glanced up. No, I hadn't heard that, but sure... she said with a smile and a nod. That'd be cool... Her mind fluttered to wondering how in the heck she was gonna afford a dress. She couldn't possibly ask her parents for money. Not as tight as cash was at this point in time anyway, and they were already working hard just to send her here.
She forced her mind from that worry, knowing now wasn't the time to think about it. She could always make one if all else failed. The song picked up pace a bit, to a more swing beat. Can you do potato sack? she asked. I mean, I guess that's what we always called it. You like, pick the girl up and grab her, and she wraps her arms around your neck and you swing her around and catch her legs behind your back and then swing her around in front and then drop her..I mean, well...Don't drop me.. she said with a mischevious grin. Put her down, would be a better way to put it... She laughed.

Levi smiled. His heart skipped a beat as she said yes. Awesome! I dont know exactly when it is but I bet we have a while but let me know what color your dress is. Levi told her smiling. He moved his feet in the beat of the music while holding onto her hand. His hand on her hip didnt move. I've never heard that be called that before. I also have never done it but I could try. Levi said smiling as she explained the dance that she wanted to try. He was willing to try. He loved trying new things. He wouldnt drop her either no matter what happened he wouldnt drop her. He smiled.
He smiled as they kept dancing but the beat of the music picked up a bit. He smiled at her and kept his eyes on her. He liked dancing when it wasnt tense like a dance competition like his parents wanted him to do to see if he had learned enough in the dance class. He finally talked his parents out of it and just decided to have a fun time with dancing instead of it being competitve.

((OOC: Watch the video I'm gonna PM you before you read the post. I can't really explain it. lol))
She nodded thoughtfully. Hopefully I'll have time to make it, then she thought reflectively to herself. Her eyes turned back to the dance. They sparkled with mirth as she nodded. Ok, don't drop me... she said with a nod. Put my hand on your other shoulder, leave one hand on my hip... she coached. On the count of one, she stepped back with the dance, and sprang nimbly up, waiting for him to catch her, and honestly kind of hoping she didn't just come crashing back down, because she would feel really rather rediculous. Now I think it's kind of like doing a hoola hoop..I guess...I dunno, I've never done the guy's part. She laughed.
She grabbed his neck and let him swing her behind hs back, letting him catch her legs and swing her back aground. She grinned. That went better than I thought it would she said with a grin. I haven't danced in like, ages. I'd forgotten how much I love it. She grinned.

Levi followed her instructions and swung her around. When he got time to the part of putting her down he smiled. He had seen people do that before at his old school. Yea I know! I didnt know I even enjoyed dancing. I just thought it was something I had to do. Levi said looking at Delany. When he was always at dance class with his parents he dreaded going to it but know that he knew how to dance maybe it was funner then he thought.
Levi looked around him and noticed some people were watching but he turned his attention back to Delany. His blue eyes looked at her waiting to see what was going to take place next. The smile stayed on his face and his eyes never left.
OCC: Sorry its short...I guess I dont have muse at 6 in the morning at my time..

((OOC: Ha! It's all good. I'm gonna try and be quick with my replies at least until my math is done...))
She gazed at him breathlessly with a big grin on her face. She could see the expectent look on Levi's face. You lead she told him. It was good to be dancing again. Not only had she not been dancing with ages, she hadn't danced with someone who could really dance in even longer. She always ended up being the one to teach the new guys to dance, because, apparently, she was the best teacher. She highly doubted that, but oh well. She hadn't minded at all, she'd just forgotten how much easier it is to dance with someone who knows how.
Her feet moved automatically to the steps as she counted silently in her head. 1, 2, rock for cover, 1, 2, rock for cover. She smiled as she shook a stray hand of dark curly hair out of her eyes, revealing a piercing blue gaze. Her eyes shifted as she continued to move to the steps, to the people staring at them. Her eyes twinkled and she turned back to Levi. You play sports at all? she asked curiously. Despite being homeschooled, she'd followed the local teams carefully. If she'd had time, she would have gone to school just for the sports. But, unfortunately, she didn't have time. There was always something to be done at the ranch. Cows to be moved, calves to be tagged, hay to feed. She didn't mind at all, she'd loved the ranch, but, of course, there was always that 'if only i had time' thought in the back of her mind...

Levi kept dancing and following the beat of the music. His hand still on her hip. Yea I play quite a bit of sports. I play football, basketball, and baseball. What about you do you play sports? Levi asked her. He started by starting to shoot hoops and then his love for it grew. Then he started trying new things like football. He enjoyed doing it but it was hard to get to practices on time when he was trying to help with the farm. He was always riding and helping train the horses that needed to be trained.
Do you ride horses? Levi asked. He grew up riding both english and western. Western is what people rode a lot in Colorado but he wanted to jump and jumping was an english event. So his parents took him to lessons to learn to jump. He soon loved it and wanted to compete. He was always wanting to jump 3 foot when he was little but now that he could he wanted to go even higher. He didnt know if Delany did any horse events but he would soon find out.

Nah, we homeschooled so we'd have more time to help out around the ranch. If I had gone to school, I wouldn've played basketball... She smiled and nodded. I probably would've run track, too. She shrugged, and nodded in response to his question. Yeah, we did everything with the cattle from horseback. I rode barrels and poles, and did breakaway roping and stuff. I was usually the roper at the brandings... She nodded, following his steps. I haven't even touched an English saddle yet, so it'll be an interesting expirience... she grinned. She didn't particularly like to admit that was was basically going to have no idea what she was doing when she touched an English saddle. That was just too much of a slam to her pride. So she hadn't just come right out and said it. What about you? she asked curiously.
((OOC: Sorry, it's really short, but I gotta go to school. :/ Yuckness. I'll be back on later tonight, I guess..))
