MERCANiS HiLLS;;
It's the sport of kings. It's the sport of rags to riches. It's the sport of win, lose, or go home. It's the sport that will test your abilities to the max. And in this world of dog-eats-dog, your best, is never good enough.
«For centuries, horse racing has been looked upon as the king's sport, and back in dark times, this statement was correct. Seeing that it was really only the king that could afford the money to house the magnificent animal that was to be their puppet in this show, it literally was, the sport of kings. However, as governments blossomed, the population grew, and salaries raised, more and more people began to see the divine idea of pitting four-legged animals with passengers against each other for one common desire: greed. The sport spread over the world and eventually reached America in 1665. For hundreds of years, racing was crude, corrupted, and deadly in the United States. However, over time, rules were made to create better safety for the racers and horses, regulations were put down, and the sport began to become more popular and gain more and more fans. The world has seen many great race horses, and every one's striving to create the next Man O' War, the next Secretariat, but who will be the one to do it?
«When you think horse racing, you may think of Kentucky, California, or New York, but never Texas. However, who would have thought that a prestigious racecourse would have been quietly nestled in the hot environment of Eron, Texas. Well, it is, and it's called Mercanis Hills, so they say. Each year, this so-called Mercanis Hills, placed in the bustling city of Eron, turns out a few Kentucky Derby runners, like Ayr Tyme, and Puzzle Valor. However, if the trainers of the five barns residing in Mercanis Hills weren't listed as the horse's trainer, you'd never know it was here. But it is. Here, in the summer, the heat is unbearable, in the fall, the heat makes you wanna claw your eyes out, in the winter, you're miserably cold, and the spring is rainy. Sounds like paradise...doesn't it? But don't let the crappy weather conditions fool you, some of the nations best horses are pulled from this track of diamonds in the rough. Trainers, jockeys, horses, and stable hands circulate through here almost every day, some of them strike gold, others fool's gold. The only question to you would be, can you find the million dollar vein or will you have to go home?
**NOTE;; Mercanis Hills is placed in a fictional town called Eron in Texas, and most of the horses are fictional. The site is not based on fictional winners of large races.**
