Stephanie was so excited. This was only the second time in her entire time at Canterbury that she got to ride Al. The first time was great, but she didn't even get to jump. That time, she only got to test how smooth he rode, and he proved to be a worthy investment. Too bad I'll only be riding him until break,she thought aloud. On break, she would be flying Ireland, her own Gypsy Vanner, in from Arkansas. She wished that she could keep both of them, but the Academy only allowed one horse per student. Plus, Al wasn't even hers, so it wasn't up to her whether he stayed with her or not. When Ireland came, she would probably have to give Al to someone else to ride, unfortunately.
Stephanie didn't want to think about it, so she pondered how high she should set the jumps. She decided on meter-high straight and crossbars. She was told that Al would jump anything, but she didn't want to take any chances because again, it was her first time jumping him. She set up seven meter-highs in the arena and walked to the barn. She had tacked up Al in his stall before she went to set them up, so she could just take him right out and lead him to the arena. Hey boy, she murmured Ready for some jumpin'? She fed him a sugarcube and slipped the bridle over his head. Stephanie slid the stall door open and lead him out of the barn towards the arena.
When she got to the arena, she looked at the jumps and relaxed. They didn't look as big now as they did when she first set them up. And Al didn't seem tense, either. She opened the gate and walked in. Al's footsteps faded into nothing as the walkway switched from cement to sawdust. She was ready. She mounted up without the block, because her long legs didn't need it. She walked him around the ring once, then trotted once, then put him into a canter for the last circle. She pulled him into the center of the ring and steered him towards the first jump. He sailed over it effortlessly. She let her breath out as he landed, because that meant that it would be fine. The second jump was the same as the first. The third jump looked a little bit higher, but Stephanie decided that her eyes were playing tricks on her. She carefully got Al to the middle of it, when she suddenly felt him tense up.
She tried to steer him clear of the jump, but it was too late. He refused and sent her flying over the jump. She landed hard on her left leg and heard something crack. Oh, no. she moaned. The searing pain and the loud crack meant only one thing. She tried to get up, but it was no use. She had a broken leg. She layed down on the ground, because she knew that if she moved it, she would hurt it even more. Al peered over the jump as if to say, Hey, where'd ya go? Stephanie closed her eyes and surrendered to the pain.

Levi walked outside of the building, he had just got done with class for a little break. He wanted to see if any of the students were riding their horses outside on such a beautiful day. His tennis shoes padded across the ground. He was going to see if any of the arenas would be open for him so that he could jump his horse Gold in an open arena. He reached the first one and saw some jumps set up. His eyes scanned the arena as he leaned against one of the boards. I wonder why that horse is in here without anyone, and it's saddled up. Levi instantly scanned the ground and jumped into the arena. He knew that if a horse was standing close to a jump then they obviously threw the rider before take-off. His tennis shoes landed on the soft grounding. He slowly walked toward the horse careful not to spook it.
When Levi got closer he noticed a girl lying on the ground. Are you ok? Levi asked rushing over to her side. He bent down to observe if she had any broken bones. It looked like she had broken one of her legs. We need to get you to a hospital! Levi said. There was no one around and he didnt have his cell phone with him. And today is the day I started following school rules? Levi asked himself. Canterbury had a strict no cell phones in class rule. He had always brought one to class so that he could text Delany when they werent in the same classes. He waited for the girl to open her eyes and say something so that he could help her.

Stephanie opened her eyes to the sound of a guy's voice. Her vision was kind of blurred because of all of the sand in her eyes from the fall. Yaaaano.she joked.I think my leg's broken. Can you tell?It still killed to move it, so she knew that this wasn't an ordinary break. I don't have my phone. How can I get to the hospital from here? She knew that she couldn't get up, for fear of breaking it even more.
Al was still standing there, showing Stephanie how devoted that horse was. At least he hadn't gone and hurt himself on the dragging reins. Then Stephanie focused on the guy. She was sure that she had seen him on campus before. Had she? She wasn't sure. Her mind was still racing through the recent events.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ooc. Won't be on until June 20th or so. Going on vacation. So don't be surprised when I don't answer. I might be on every once in a while, but just thought I'd let ya know.
Levi looked at her leg. Yah, it looks broken. Levi said to her her. He searched his pockets hoping desperatly that he had his cell phone somewhere. He dug through his back pack. I just found my phone. Levi said lightly. He quickly turned it on and dialed 911. I have a girl here who fell off her horse and I think her legs brocken. Levi said. He snapped his phone shut after giving all the details. An ambulance is on its way. Levi told her. He didnt want her to move afraid that she could hurt herself even more.
So umm whats your horses name? Levi said semi-casual. The horse was calmly standing watching over the rider. He didnt know what to do with the horse. When she was going off to the hospital the horse couldnt stay saddled up and in the ring with all these fences up. Levi looked down at the girl and could hear sirens in the distance. The horse pricked his ears. Will he get scared of the sirens? Levi asked himself. He debated if he should stay by the girls side or if he should grab the horse and makek sure there was no other injury.
Man, this dude is HOT!Stephanie thought. She tried to make light of the situation, but she really couldn't. At least he had his phone with him. That would've been a disaster if neither of them had their phone. His name's Al. He's not really mine, he's the school's. But my Gypsy Vanner named Ireland is coming during break.Stephanie wondered whether or not this guy would stay with her or grab Al. I don't think that we've met before. My name's Stephanie. How bout you?
She knew that she had seen him around campus, she just didn't really have the guts to talk to him. She was pretty shy, even though her friends thought that she talked a lot. But now, she obviously had a chance to talk to him, so it wouldn't really help if she was her normal shy self. He was her rescuer, wasn't he?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ooc. I got to the library somehow. Thanks for doin this with me, BTW

My names Levi. Levi said. When she said her name he thought he heard of her from somewhere. Probably around the halls of Canterbury. What do you want done with Al? Levi asked curiously. He didnt want the horse to run around the ring. Then there would be two trips to the doctor. The horse headed off to the vet and Stephanie headed off to the hospital. Levi looked around him but he couldnt see anyone around. There was no one around to take Al back to the barn. Levi didnt know what to do. He didnt want to do anything without Stephanie telling him otherwise. He looked at her to see if she was going to say something about Al but then he looked toward the entrance of Canterbury. An ambulance was heading in through the gates.

Stephanie looked back to where Levi was looking. She couldn't see anything, but she could hear the sirens coming towards her. She breathed a sigh of relief. The ambulance. Ummmm...I don't know. I guess you could just tie him to the jump and you could bring him back when they get me or if you want to go to the hospital, just find someone to take him. I'm sure people will come running when they see the ambulance.It was true. She could hear everything stop when the ambulance came. That meant people were paying attention. She was glad that Levi was there. If she had had to call 911 herself and then wait there, she would've passed out from the pain. But she didn't want to look stupid in front of him because face it, this guy was cute.
She hoped that he would come to the hospital with her, but it was his choice. Maybe he had a girlfriend and she got jealous easy. Or maybe he didn't and he might be looking for one. If he did have one, she didn't want to get him in trouble with her.

Levi looked and saw the medics were coming in. The horse sorta took a few steps back. He grabbed the reins and handed them to someone who offered to take the horse back to the stable. I'll be at the hospital right behind you. I have to go to my dorm before I leave to get rid of some stuff. But I'll be there. Levi said. He took out his phone again and texted Delany I'm heading to the hospital...no not for me dont worry. Tell you about it later. He clicked the send button. They were about to load her in the ambulance and he was going to go to the hospital after he dropped his heavy backpack into his room. He didnt want to lug that thing around everywhere so he thought it was best to drop it off and then head off to the hospital.

Oh, thank god they're here. Stephanie breathed.You sure you want to come? You don't have to. Secretly she really wanted him to come, but she did want to give him a choice. Stephanie saw a girl that she didn't recognize head back towards the barn with Al. Thank god someone's taking him back. I've seen her around campus somewhere, so that's good that she works with horses. Stephanie didn't want the horse to get hurt, even though he wasn't hers. She would probably get kicked out of Canterbury if she let one of the horses get hurt.
Stephanie did as she was told when the paramedics prepared her for transport. Her dad was an EMT teacher, and she volunteered to be a victim for a few of his longboard classes so she knew exactly what was coming. Head blocks, tape, neck brace, leg splint, straps...It was all general routine for her. At least she wasn't scared half to death because she didn't know what to do...Right before she left, she called to Levi. If you are going to come to the hospital, do you mind picking up my phone? I'm in dorm 5, and it's the cherry LG chocolate. Could you maybe pick up my laptop, too? They're the only ones in the room so far. I don't have a room mate. The key's right above the door. Levi watched as the paramedics loaded her up. He didnt like watching it because it brought back some memories of his younger sister getting carried off. She had thought was old enough to train a green horse and the horse ended up bucking her off and breaking some bones. He heard her talking and he instantly forgot about the past. Yea sure I'll go right on up and get both of them. He said to her. He moved his foot ready to head up to her dorm room. He looked at the paramedics and then turned his head. He looked toward the barn but Al was already in the barn which was good. He would wait until the amublance drove away.

Stephanie looked towards Levi. He was watching, but it looked like it brought back some memories. Bad memories. She wanted to reach out and comfort him, but obviously she couldn't because she was stapped into the stretcher and everything. Thanks, Levi. You're great...She smiled. She hoped that he wouldn't abuse her trust and break into her room if it wasn't needed, but she didn't want to worry about that now. All she could think about was holding her leg as still as possible and being driven off in the ambulance.
As the ambulance drove away, Stephanie could see a girl leading Al into the barn. She wished that she could have brought him back because that was the last time that she would be riding him, but she obviously couldn't. Her father had called earlier. Ireland was on the flight to California. He would arrive soon. Uh,oh she thought. Ireland!She hadn't thought about him until just then. Who would pick him up? Who would get him accustomed to the new place? Maybe Levi will pick him up for me...He seems nice enough to do that. Maybe I can go with him, too. I could get some crutches or something.She hoped that Levi would pick him up for her. She desperately hoped for it. She would ask him when he met her at the hospital.

Levi watched as the ambulance drove away. He looked up toward the dorms and took a few steps. He walked out of the arena. Wow what an eventful day. Levi thought to himself. He headed up to her dorm and reached for the key where Stephanie said it would be. He found it easily and got into it. He had no problem finding what she needed. He picked it up and took them and closed the door. He looked toward Delany's room but the area around seemed quiet. He wondered where she was at. Before leaving he headed toward his dorm to drop his stuff off. His roommate hadnt been there yet so the room was quiet. He dropped it off by the door and left. He climbed into a car and took off toward the hospital.
OCC: What happens now lol
