sample post: [this can be from another site] A girl and her horse galloped off into the sunset, never looking back. They halted, turned and looked off at the horizon. Suddenly the horse reared and they were once again on thier way. A stallion pranced and snorted beneath his rider. "Easy Percy. It's okay." Kailee said, stroking the nervous horse beneath her. The horse whinnied and reared. Kailee whipped the horse around and yelled, "Come on Percy! Let's GO!" With a quick poke with her spurs, the stallion galloped off in the direction of home.
As they galloped into the huge farm owned by the Furillo family, the girl slowed her stallion down to a spunky posting trot. As they approached, a loud trumpeting whinny echoed in the distance. Kailee let out a laugh and Percy perked his ears in the direction of the sound and whinnied back to the black stallion that was his father.
"Looks like the two of you had a good ride." A familiar voice said from behind them. Jennifer Furillo, Kailee's mother, trotted up behind her. "It was awesome Mom. He galloped for about 3 miles straight and he's not even puffing!!!" Kailee said breathlessly. "That's great honey. But there is something I need to tell you. Your father and I think it would be good for you if we sent you to boarding school."
"WHAT?!" Kailee screamed at the top of her lungs. With that, girl and horse galloped off, with tears streaming down her face.

physical appearance: [at least two paragraphs. tell us how they look. no perfect people. everyone has some flaws.] Katie is not very tall, only barely reaching 5'2". But this does make it a lot easier to ride her pony. She has a very small frame and is pretty thin. But just because she is thin does not mean that she can't hold her own. She is strong from 6 long years of riding.
Katie has blonde hair that reaches just past her shoulders. She usually has it straight and down, but on days when she is feeling ambitious she will curl it. But, those days are pretty rare. Katie also has piercing green eyes that seem to follow you everywhere. And maybe they do and maybe they don't (will you be able to find out?). Katie has a long, jagged scar running from the base of her ear to her collar bone, but that is not her only one. Will you be able to find out the story?
clothing style: [at least one paragraph. how do they dress?] Katie is the type of girl who wears jeans most of the time. She is also the girl who will wear zip up hoodies a lot to because she gets cold really easily. Katie will wear her almost always present gray Converse (not the old school kind) just about every where. She likes to wear tank tops and T-shirts almost all year long, but she is careful to cover up her "battle wounds". But, Katie would just as easily wear a fancy dress and fancy shoes and get ready for the ball, that is, if she wasn't allowed to wear jeans and a tank top.

But, Katie has a dark side. Her green eyes will flash and she will get very upset. But, this is very rare. Mostly, she just gets freaked out and starts shaking at loud noises or if something surprises her. She has a tendency to get nervous about certain things that most people would not even think about. Katie is the type of person that you have to step lightly around. And, keep your eye out for a sign of an anxiety attack. Because they just might happen.

She has been abused by many in her sixteen years. Katie was adopted when she was about 14 months old. By the time she was 10, her life had been almost perfect. She excelled in dance and swimming, but she wanted her chance to ride. Her parents finally let her.
Katie has suffered a few blows to the head, and because of this, her responses are somewhat delayed. Her brain has been only slightly damaged, so just because Katie does not respond right away doesn't mean she is stupid. Katie also has many scars, or as she likes to say "battle wounds". The most obvious one is on her neck. If someone is to ask about any of them though, she might freeze up.
Katie has also had a few good things in her past. Her parents found an amazing trainer for her and she has the best pony in the entire world. Dublin is the key to keeping Katie from completely going insane. Dublin holds all of Katie's secrets and stories. This girl may have been hurt and is not emotionally stable, but that doesn't mean that she should be treated differently. If you see Katie talking to Dublin, go and listen, you may learn something that you never would have known or guessed about this girl.
riding expierence: [at least one paragraph. talk about years riding, past horses, disciplines, etc.] Katie has been riding horses since she was in 4th grade when her parents gave her permission to finally start riding the horses at the family's farm. Her parents hired an amazing trainer and rider, Meaghan McCue, to be Katie's trainer. Meaghan found a pony for Katie when she was 13. It was a Quarter Horse Welsh cross. Her name was Dublin and she has taught Katie a lot, and Katie has taught her a lot. When Dublin first arrived at Old Burlington Farm (the farm that Katie's parents own), she was crazy. She had previously been a barrel racer, so she was very quick and would just keep building up her pace through the entire course. But, with some of Meaghan's help, Katie was able to get rid of this habit and now Dublin is the perfect Equitation and Medal pony.
