Florianopolis, SC, Brazil is ne of the most beautiful cities in the country. It is composed of one main island, the Island of Santa Catarina, one continental part and the surrounding small islands, and a perfect surfer’s paradise. Florianopolis is the place to go to many tourists coming to Brazil, but to the kids attending The International School of Florianopolis, it’s a home away from home. The school was founded in 1947 by Mr. Lucas Costa, a Brazilian professor who had the money and the passion necessary for teaching, and since those first days it has become one of the best schools around the globe, providing a safe environment and a high rank education to kids from more than twenty different countries. And as the new school year of 2008-2009 begins, new faces and some not so new make their appearance on the halls of the school. And these kids are the only ones who can tell what this new year will bring. But one thing is certain these will be days to remember for most of these kids.
