This is an RPG based on the 90s TV show Higher Ground.
``before the sun rises
Higher Ground was about a boarding school for troubled adolescents. The boarding school is located in Canada and all the students have some kind of troubled past and each student faces a different issue whether it is with drugs, sexual and verbal abuse, self-harm, eating disorders, neglect, and suicidal attempts or even trouble with the law. They all are sent to Mt. Horizon to get help.
Mount Horizon, boarding school for troubled adolescence, 125 miles to the nearest town. Sure, you can try and run but you'll end up right back. There are no fences, no gates, no security guards and no cameras. The school is surrounded by woods. Ya see, there’s only one kid who ever made it to town and he was eventually found and brought back. Mount Horizon is a sanctuary for teenagers suffering from various kinds of abuse or disorders. Each student is assigned a group and is scheduled to meet up with there counselor every week. Every student enrolled must check in on their first day with their counselor to discuss rules and life at Horizon.
Counselors, you have taken on the role of being responsible for these teens and it is your job to help them any way you can. Your expected to go the extra mile for them and sometimes that isn't easy, the job puts strains on your life or the life you use to have, so kiss that goodbye. The kids in your group are now apart of your new life. You have to watch them, protect them, care for them, and try to reason with them. You pretty much become their family and students don't always make it easy on you. Some may want you to struggle, they want you to fail or give up on them but that is exactly what your paid not to do. These students need you whether they admit it or not. Your all they have once they enter the doors of Horizon.
Students, for whatever reasons you were sent here for… you’re now stuck. Some students make the best of there stay, try and get better or change their ways. Others fight against it, break rules, become troublesome and mess around with other students. It truly is your choice.. but know this, whatever path you choose you'll still have to face some of your worst fears here. The counselors will not be easy on you and the tasks they ask you to do may not always be fun but face it.. your stuck.
