Kory sat under the stars on the porch of her house. The wind was blowing cool breezes, making her hair fly. She breathed in deeply through her nose, taking in the scents of flowers and wildlife around her. She sat, scrunched up, hugging her knees and rocking herself on the porch.
She couldn’t believe this was her last night here. Kory closed her eyes, letting old scenes flash through her mind like a sad and depressing movie. Her and her old friends, seeing all of London, moving twice. She opened her eyes. She eyed the whole of her backyard. All the trees, bushes, beautiful flowers, animals and just plain wildlife. She wanted to take it all in once more before going to a whole new home.
The wind blew harder this time, making Goosebumps rise on Kory’s skin. She shivered, and pulled her hoodie over her head. She tucked her hands inside the sleeves, and took back the position on hugging her knees and rocking herself. The glowing moon seemed to be glowing brighter tonight, as if it was trying telling her something. She smiled and looked around the sky at the stars, all flashing and blinking in the world they called Outer Space.
Haylie, Kory’s twin sister, came outside on the porch. Kory watched as her sister walked over to her. Her blue jeans making a swish noise and her Australia hoodie pulled over. Haylie sat down next to Kory and looked at her. Kory looked at Haylie. They both smiled and hugged. As they hugged, Haylie whispered “You have to stay in touch. Oh Kory Im going to miss you so much” They separated. The wind picked up and as they looked at the sky, clouds started rolling in, looking as if they were sucking up the stars. They both stood up and, hand in hand, walked into the house together, for the very last time.

Her hair extends down to her midback and is a dark brown/black mixture. It has a natural wave to it; Vanessa also likes to straighten it or make it more curly. She does have side bangs that she wears up or down, depending on her mood. Her eyes are a deep
brown, which she got from her mother. The only thing she has of her mother are her eyes.

Vanessa is a shy girl when she first starts out anywhere new. It takes a while for her to adjust to settings. Her friends bring out the best in her. She loves to go to parties. Vanessa hates drama and choses to stay away from it. She can also get a little homesick at times.
history: Vanessa was born April 3. She was born in the city. New York City. Her mom had had her all by herself. Her dad was named Rick Smith. Her parents hadnt gotten married when Vanessa was born. Her dad fled when he found Mary, Vanessa's mom, was pregnant. Her mom was very good to her when she was pregnant and did well without a guy. When Vanessa was born she took the last name of her mother, Deberly.
When Vanessa was 13 her mom started doing drugs. Vanessa, having knowledge about drugs, knew it was bad and messed people up. Her mom started being abusive towards Vanessa. Vanessa rarely went home, and often stayed at her best friend, Kate's, house. Kate's mother didnt mind, but when it started accumulating to every night she had to know why. Vanessa was reluctant, but knew if she didnt tell someone now, she never would.
Her mother was arrested that August. Vanessa had no where to go. She wanted to go live with Kate, but the authorities wouldnt allow it. Vanessa was sent off to Virginia to live with a foster family. The family, who was known as the Barber family, had a ranch with 10 horses. Vanessa fell in love with them. She hadnt been happy much, but now, with the horses, she became happier again.
She knew she wanted to stick to riding, so she applied for Canterbury Academy.
riding expierence: If Vanessa could rateherself, she would call herself intermediate. She hasnt been around horses all her life, but she has been around them long enough to get to know them. She has ridden English and Western, but is more advanced
