heh, so lucky me, I got kicked by a horse today...hard.
i was waiting for the owner to come back with food so she could watch/help with one of the 2 year olds we were ging to work with on lungeing. He was being a perfect boy, standing still in cross ties, halting when asked...let's say I was very proud. lol
So he was iffy with the lunge line so I just put a lead on him to have him walk around me in a circle, and he got better and used to that. Something spooked him, and he put his face towards me, pulled the lead line, me catching it at the end, turned to the other side, kind of bucked but then kicked out and WHAMMY! i get kicked right above my knee in the thigh. hehe silly me i didn't even realize it to a few seconds later. thank goodness he didn't have shoes on or get me in the knee.
Meh, but I"m sad cause I can't ride for a bit because I can barely walk, nor put pressure on my leg.
I'd just thought it'd be fun to inform you of my fun day. heh not
