Peyton booted up her new computer that her parents bought her as a going away gift. She had plenty going away gifts but this one was awesome. The pink laptop that had green flower stickers on it was sitting on her bed. When the computer finally started up she logged into her instant messaging. No one was online so she opened up at chatroom.
Obsessive:has just signed in.
Obsessive:Anyone here that wants to talk?
Peyton waited a while to see if anyone would show up. She grabbed her lime green Rumor phone and waited.

Casey had just settled into his new dorm room and was beginning to unpack. But, with his incredibly short attention span, he soon just tossed his bags under the bed and looked around for something to do. He didn't know the school very well. So he grabbed his laptop and set it on the empty desk, booting it up and signing on to AIM. He looked around and soon clicked on a Canterbury chat, seeing one other person.

Lindsay was at the library. Everybody was told to be quite, but of course, she got into a chat room. She turned her volume down so nobody would hear it when somebody sent a message and she looked for a room to join.
