sample post: You'll love it there, her aunt had said with that annoying peppy smile littered across her face. So far she had been very, very wrong. Andi had been extremely reluctant to attend MSA in Maryland, but things had worked out there...so her Aunt assumed it would be the same in this new, weird, European school. But that wasn't the case. She hadn't met a single person, and her style of dancing stuck out like a sore thumb. She knew nothing about the streets of England and as far as she knew, street dancing didn't even EXIST here. She hadn't even been to any classes yet, and she was dreading it. Next week she was scheduled to take a ballet class. Ha! She'd never pointed her toes or spun around in her life. She'd look like a complete fool. So far things weren't going so well. She hated this place, and she wanted to go back home.
She had only arrived yesterday and hadn't had a chance to check out the actual school. Andi had settled into her dorm, more or less, and spent the rest of the night moping by herself. But this morning she got up and got dressed. She was wearing a black tank top and a pair of baggy jeans, as well as a pair of converse tennis shoes. Her softly curled brown hair was in a messy ponytail and her bangs clipped back out of her face. She threw a small backpack over her arm that contained her Sidekick, i-pod, and a jacket. Then she set out towards the school.
Her first destination, of course, was the dance hall. She wanted to check it out...see what she was up against, you know? Passing the window, she noticed nobody was in there. So she opened the unlocked door and walked in, letting her backpack fall to the wooden floor with a bang. She looked around at the mirrors, bars, and (expensive) stereo system. yep, it was just like Maryland School of the Arts. There were mirrors where she wanted brick walls to be, wooden floors where she wanted pavement. She heaved a small, self piteous sigh. She sat against one of the mirrors and got her ipod out of her bag. turning up the volume, she leaned back and gazed out of the windows across from her. It wasn't like she had anywhere else to go.
character
full name: Casey Shaant Landsing
nicknames:
age: 16
grade: sophomore
clique: scene kids
gender: male
sexuality: straight
family: all unknown.
physical appearance: Well. Basically, Casey's a pretty good looking guy. Well, if you go for that whole emo + bright colors=scene thing. He's got shaggy, uncut black hair. (yes, its dyed). Well, now its black. But it tends to change colors quite often. In fact, right now there are a few streaks of turquoise in there somewhere. But you never know. Tomorrow he could be blonde. Originally, he was a auburn color. But after all those dye jobs, he'll probably never get his natural color back. Oh well. Anyways, he's kinda pale. But not like, ew, gross kind of pale. Just a little fair skinned, thats all.
He's very, very pierced. Another thing that changes practically daily. Right now he's sporting snake-bites. (Two rings in his bottom lip) He's also got a nose stud and a bar through the top of his ear. He's got a few tattoos, as well. On his left ankle is a fairly small music note. and written quite small on the inside of his right forearm are some lyrics from a song. It reads, "You made me realize my ticket wasn't good for two. I rode alone."
clothing style: Casey dresses in the basic 'scene kid' outfits. Usually shirts and pants that are way too tight for him, and thick, often studded, belts. His favorite pair of shoes are his black Chuck Taylors. He's the epitome of scene kid. Tight pants, weird hair, you know. The whole deal. Most of Casey's shirts tend to be from shows, or just band tshirts from Hot Topic. (his all time favorite store.) He's got a million Fall Out Boy/Paramore/Devil Wears Prada shirts. He's a walking bilboard for bands!

haha, just kidding. he also likes
playing the guitar

meeting new people
partying
techno
dislikes:
insects of any kind

flip flops (no real man wears them.)
when its too sunny outside.
personality: With Casey's history, one would think he was the kind of kid thats bitter about the world, as if everything's out to get him. But he's not, actually. He's got a great outlook on life and is always excited to try new things. He loves meeting people and is incredibly social and easy to get along with.
Casey is really independant. Even though he likes to be around people, he really doesn't need anybody. He can take care of himself. and sometimes he gets to be TOO independent, thinking he can bite off more than he can chew. He can also be kind of arrogant sometimes. He just needs someone to keep him in check. Overall, he's a really nice guy. However, he's not afraid to fight. Verbally OR physically. But he's not petty. He won't argue over something trivial. He really only gets mean or angry when he feels threatened or has a strong feeling someone is doing something wrong. He won't hesitate to let you know exactly what he thinks of you, that much is for sure.
history: Casey doesn't remember how it all started, but the people at the orphanage mapped it out for him pretty well. He was a crack baby, for lack of a better word. Apparently his mother was a prostitute or something and ended up pregnant. She didn't have a clue who the father was, obviously. So she had Casey and, being the responsible person she was (sarcasm!) left him on the steps of an orphanage a few hours away from her town. He was only about three weeks old when she did this. So naturally, they took him in.
He grew up at the orphanage, but when he turned twelve, he was sent to a foster family. He stayed there for about six months and was returned. Something about him being rebellious or something. Well, you'd be a little hard to handle if you'd never lived in a real house, too. So he was shipped off to yet another foster family. He stayed there until he was fifteen, and loved every minute of it. The kind family planned on fully adopting him, but as the years went on they had financial problems and couldn't take on another child. Soon the family had to move across the country for the father's work, and they sadly sent Casey back to the orphanage, hoping he'd find another family that could support him.
He went back to the orphanage, angry and scared. He was about to turn sixteen and he was still without a home. Eager to have something to do with him, they sent him to Canterbury where he could attend school until he graduated, then he'd be eighteen and they could finally be rid of him.
riding expierence: While Casey was living for a family for about four years, they had a few horses and he learned to ride western. He competed in barrel racing and grew quite good at it, actually. But thats all the experience he has. He might want to try dressage, though, now that he's at canterbury.
celebrity: just some random kid.
