Clad in a pair of short, cotton, navy blue shorts and a light gray tank top was Chloe Prescott. She hadn't been doing much of anything lately, no socializing, no homework, nothing. She didn't get it, why she felt so alone in a world so big, but she was. Her long legs, took graceful strides as she jogged at a steady pace, along the trail provided. Her hair was pulled back in a slick pony tail, ears contained her ear buds as she ran, her music pulsating throughout her body with each beat.
Cerfew was coming up close, but Chloe hadn't really been paying attention to that now, had she? The dark night sky was welcomed by occasional street lamps that lined the parks side-walks and Chloe would glance up at them as she passed them. Her chest was heaving in and out from the long run, sweat dripping down her face and somewhat on her collarbone. Thankfully she wasn't in site of anyone, she'd just be constantly cursing to herself if someone confronted her, just hoping she didn't smell from her work out.
She looked up as she passed a street lamp, her legs gradually coming to a stop as she caught her breath, which was erratic and heavy. Chloe placed her hands upon her knees, bending down as if it would help her breathing, but to no avail. Standing up straight, she swept a hand through her hair, sticking any strands of hair that managed to fall from her pony tail, behind her ears.

Alyssa was sure she was going to die. She had been out, socializing for once, and now she was almost late to return for cerfew. She tripped over herself as she tried to run along the sidewalk toward the generalized area of the dorms. She knew her way around town well enough to find her way home by know, but she had been running, and it had joggled her head a little.
Her toes hit the ground and she tripped one of her thongs fell of her feet and she fell to the ground. She lost her breath as she tried to pull herself up. It hadn't hurt that bad. Though she had a destinctive sting in hands that told her she probably scraped up her hands. She rubbed them trying to remove any excess dirt or rock that may later cause an infection.
She blew on her hands, in a desprate attempt to get the now arriving sting out. She leaned down and grabbed her thongs. Then she took off her other one. She just had to get to the dorms before cerfew. She ran along the sidewalk, her feet seemed to gain weight, making her drag them around each time they hit the hard pavement. Sweat rolled down her face. She had never been late before. She didn't plan to change that.
She got to the campus park. Only a little bit longer she told herself as she raced on. She saw the dorms through the artifically lighted night. She ran on and on then she saw a figure. At least she wasn't the only one out. She headed toward the figure. Maybe this girl knew a way to sneak in. "Hey, um.." she didn't know how to get her attention, she just raced toward her.

Chloe was caught up in stabilizing her breathing pattern as she stared down at the gray concrete with wide eyes. "Ugh." she breathed, towards her heart that decided to pound against her ribcage, nonstop might I add. It was quite alarming how fast she had gotten the little thing to beat. She took in a deep breath, holding it for a moment before releasing and repeating this step till her breathing was somewhat normal. Her hand remained in the center of her chest, moving up and down as her chest had.
Her eyes glanced around the park, in thoughts of her hearing something, but when she didn't see anything she turned back around, shrugging it off. She sighed lightly removing her ear buds from her ears and stuffing them into a little pocket that held her Ipod, quickly she checked the time, a light sigh escaping her mouth as she realized it was past curfew, this was going to be interesting.
Chloe was starting to question her sanity, once again when she heard a voice from behind her. Who else would be out this late, past curfew? She looked around her spotting a girl coming up from behind her. She raised her eyebrow questionably, brushing her bangs behind her ear. "Uh, Hey." she said, in a questionable tone, turning around so that she got a clear look of the girl, it looked as though she were panicked. "Is everything alright?" Chloe asked with a concerned tone, truly interested in why the girl was being so frantic.

Alyssa bit her lip when the girl didn't answer immediatly. Then she heard a responce and walked up to her. She was in clear light from the tall street lamps that tried to bright the normally dark nights. She held her hands down allowing her thongs to flop to the ground. She rubbed her hands, "owe," she said quitly under her breath.
She slid on her thongs as she ran her hands down her jeans. She thought, it helped the sting. She smiled at the girl. "Do you have any idea what time it is?" She asked. Hoping this girl had an answer, as she had left her cell phone in the dorm, of course. So she had no idea what time it was, she only knew she left the park she was at about ten minutes ago, and then it was nearly cerfew already.
Her hair was messed up and she brushed it back in attempt to 'strap it down' even though it's volume made it 'poof' up and it wouldn't calm. She furiously brushed it out of her face. Trying to tame the mess that was called hair. She smiled politely at the girl. Carefully observing her features. Even though, first impressions didn't mean anything, plus, this girl wasn't making a bad first impression either.

Chloe's eyes traveled over the girl for a moment, just as a common habit of hers. She liked to know what she was dealing with, though you could never judge a book by it's cover. She did it all the time, and she assumed others had as well. Chloe tried to give her best friendly smile, but she couldn't help but let it become slightly apologetic, when she heard the girl's barely audible 'owe'. She let a light nod come from her head as the girl asked for the time.
"Uhm, hold on." she said kindly, having to return on her iPod, though she didn't really mind. Chloe didn't really worry about curfew as much as others, and that was relevant because of her unworried like stature. She tilted her head to one side, before tilting it to the other, sticking out her tongue impatiently before a bright light could be seen coming from her iPod, signaling it on.
She laughed slightly towards her own actions before reading the time. "It's a little past eleven o'clock. Why?" she asked, as though she had been clueless as to why the girl in front of her was running, though Chloe acctually was clueless. Why run, when late means your late, no matter how late you are. She shrugged pointlessly giving a small grin to the girl, a thoughtful look on her face.
"Oh, Curfew, right?" she finally managed to say, nodding lightly with a soft laugh, repacking her iPod into her little bag. "Well, uhm. Look don't worry about that, they'll understand." Chloe said to the girl in front of her taking a step forward. "Chloe Prescott, by the way." she said, putting out her hand to shake awkwardly before she decided against it, and let it drop automatically to her right side. Her bright friendly smile, still remaining on her face. Sweat still dripping down her forehead, and neck.

"Oh, thank you," she said. Glad that the girl had been kind enough to answer. Unlike others she had met that wouldn't do anything other than blow her off. "Oh, I'm sure they'll understand." she said in agreement.
She had never been late before, not even for class. So if she were to try to get by once, then lets hope they would let her. She smiled kindly at the girl. This girl seemed nice. Not to uptight, or self obsorbed. She smiled at the welcoming hand, "Alyssa Reetz," she said. Though of course she didn't want seem like a teachers pet or anything so she decided to add to the previous topic a little.
"No the only reason I wanted time was because I was supposed to meet my roomie today, fun fun huh?" She said. Her smile pleasing and polite. Her attitude very willing and sweet. She wasn't trying to seem to bubly but then again, she didn't want to be tough either.

Chloe nodded."Right."she said confidently, more to herself then the girl in front of her, a warm welcoming smile gracing her plump lips."Nice to meet you."she introduced, with a light nod, staring down at the concrete for a moment before looking back at the girl in front of her."Wow, that's ironic."she started, with a light nod."I was supposed to do that today too, but instead I was stuck here, in the park."she added."Well, not stuck but I thought about going early but my nerves always get the best of me, and I thought maybe she wouldn't like me."she rambled on, staring up at the girl with a light smile."I know, it's a silly thought-"she stopped herself mid-sentence an embarrassed look slightly on her face towards her rambling.
"Haha, I normally don't ramble, well I do. But.. Oh never mind."she said, through uneasy laughter."Come on, we should start heading back to school, before we are way late."she said, with a light smile, turning to walk slowly along the sidewalk, awaiting the girl's presence.

"Extremely pleasing to meet you as well." She said. Putting on her regular smart girl act. Though she didn't want to sound as she was showing off. It was just a habit to say smart things, though this wasn't one of the smartest. It kinda made her sound stupid the way she said it. Oh well though, to late to change it know.
She squinted her nose, making it seem like she smelt something bad. Though she didn't, it was just something she did when she was thinking. She started walking slowly toward the building. Dragging her feet as she slipped them into her thongs. "Well that is kinda weird," she said. She hoped the girl would fallow her, as they both had to get to the dorms sometime today.
"It's fine," she said. "I like ramblers," she added politely as it was true. She enjoyed talking to people that could talk about anything. It was so much funner than talking to shy people who didn't know what to say. And this girl, definaltly could spark a conversation with somebody, and anything.
