With her chin propped on her hand, Ashlynn glanced out of her window with a half-grin. So far, Canterbury had brought nothing but good things. Well, if you didn't count the incident with Addison - which Ashlynn didn't, and was trying very hard to block entirely from her mind. Sinking her teeth gently into her lower lip, she turned towards her laptop and signed onto AIM. Scanning the list of online friends, she couldn't help the butterflies that rose in her stomach and the smile that jumped immediately across her lips at the sight of Jake's name.
lovesicklullaby has signed in!

Jake had been sitting at his computer for awhile, with his instant messenger buddy list propped up on the right hand side of his screen, no one really interesting had been on for awhile and he contemplated on doing his school work, but decided against it. He leaned back in his chair, and propped his feet up on the computer desk. His laptop sat open on the desk as he just starred at the screen, then his buddy list dinged, informing him that someone had signed on her leaned forward to check it out, and to his surprise Ashlynn signed on, a wide smile spread across his face.
reckless.wranger: hey beautiful :]
reckless.wranger: i'm good, even better now that ur on. : )
reckless.wranger: and how are you? |

She felt like a child, but seeing that 'reckless.wranger is typing a message' sent her heart into overdrive. Smiling gleefully, she pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, snuggling against her pillows on her bed as she eyed the screen - waiting for him to respond.
lovesicklullaby: i miss you, that's all.
lovesicklullaby: so bear, i have a question.
biting her lower lip, she glanced at the keyboard then back at the screen - almost nervously.
lovesicklullaby: did you have a girlfriend that you really, really liked before me?
she'd wanted to ask if he'd had a girlfriend before her that he'd loved, but in all honesty- she couldn't bear the thought, neither could she manage to type it. with a sigh, she re-arranged her laptop and flopped back on the bed, sprawled out. once again, she'd managed to lock her roommate out. yeah, she wasn't being very nice but sharing her space wasn't something she enjoyed. that other girl would just have to deal with it.

Jaked eyed the screen on his laptop that sat on the desk in front of him, he awaited Ashlynn's reply, and kept his eyes on the screen as the computer dinged as she sent her frist IM back. 'i miss you', is what she wrote to him first, a small smile came to Jake's lips, he hated being away from her; but it was obvious it had to happen at times. He quickly wrote back:
reckless.wranger: i miss you too. <3 He propped his feet up on the desk once more and pulled his laptop over and set it on his lap, as he watched his IM box tell him that lovesicklullaby was typing. He smiled and then heard the ding of the computer again, and quickly scanned his eyes over the question, did you have a girlfriend that you really, really liked before me? He quickly had multiple thoughts running through his mind, all of this past relationships had just been flings, all short and sweet relationships, nothing serious- just crazy popular, barbie like girls that were obsessed with him, he quickly thought of the answer to her question and typed back with;
reckless.wranger: ashlynn- to be honest..
reckless.wranger: i've never felt this way about anyone else..
reckless.wranger: except for you. :] It was true, Jake had never felt so in love, or falling in love like this before, he was falling so hard for Ashlynn.

staring at the screen like some lovesick puppy, she bit the inside of her cheek, drawing in a sharp breath as she watched his responses.
lovesicklullaby: what do you do when you're falling in love?
she closed her eyes, fearing with all her heart he'd do something that'd mean he didn't feel the same.

Jake smiled at her response, and thought a moment before he started to type out what he was going to say.
reckless.wranger: well i just so happen to think there is a girl im falling in love with.... :]
reckless.wranger: and whenever im around her, my heart beats like crazy..
reckless.wranger: and i have this contagious smile on my face...
