A thud echoed throughout the library as a heavy stack of three books was dropped onto one of the long library tables. Alyssa dropped her now empty backpack on the ground and took a seat. Her two binders and laptop on one side of her, the stack of books on the other. She opened up one of the binders and centered it in front of her. Flipping it open she looked for the tab marked History. Finding it, she pulled out the assignment. She re-read over it. Then looked at her book. Sliding the history book from the bottom of the stack she set it on top of her binder. She flipped it open to page 283 and glanced over it. To finish this project she'd have to get an other book on the Renaissance.
Right know she didn't really care. She opened her laptop and placed it aligned right to her. She turned it on and jotted some notes on it. This project was due next week. That gave her two days for research, and about five days to actually write it up. She stood up. Then sat back down. Laying her head on the table. She didn't want to do this, not now. She wanted to just go hang out, maybe find a date for prom. Oh well, she'd have to deal without that. She had to get this done. No matter how much she regretted it. She looked around the library, maybe somebody would 'distract' her so she could get out of it today.

Jasper sat upon the floor in the corner of the library with a book held firmly in his hands. The main place he had spent his time here, was in the library catching up on some reading that he neglected to do over the summer. Plus, he enjoyed reading, so the thoughts of reading hours on end didn't bother him. His eyes gazed over the page for a moment till his ears were welcomed with a source of noise. His eyes glanced over the young blond in front of him as she organized her binders. Occasionally his eyes would go back to the book, but for the most part they remained on her face, tracing each feature carefully. Before his eyes darted back to his book as she stood from the table.
He let out a soft chuckle as she sat back down before plopping her head in her arms upon her laptop. He didn't know why, but the act was amusing to him. Though it clearly stated that she was bored out of her mind, he could fix that, or at least try to. He got on his knee's, placing the book carelessly upon the book shelf before he stood up all the way. Brushing his hands upon his denim jeans before straightening out his flannel jacket as he walked towards her table. His brown cowboy boots hit the soft carpeting as he made his way over to her. His pale hands touched the cool table, just lightly supporting him as he leaned down slightly. "You look enthused to be doing whatever it is you're doing." he said, with a charming grin, raising an eyebrow curiously as he waited for the girl to respond.

Alyssa lifted her head lightly up as she thought she felt movement on the talbe. She saw a hand on the table and looked to see a boys face. A handsome face. One that appeared to be a junior, or better yet, senior. He seemed cow-boyish. But that didn't bother her, didn't bother her at all. Just meant that he probably liked to ride. That's one thing they'd have in common.
Her thoughts raced ahead before her words? Why was she thinking this? She hadn't even said hi back yet. The fact that she was already thinking this made her nervous. Usually she could be a total flirt. But she didn't know, he seemed to already be flirting with her. She hoped that was true.
"Oh ya," she said her voice hinting scarcasim. "It's very exciting taking a nap in the library." She smiled with her reply. Her 'Reetz' family smile. Showing all of her sparkling white teeth. She would flirt with him. For a bit. First impressions didn't mean anything. But his wasn't bad so far.

Jasper kept the charming grin upon his face as she looked up, his thoughts were swarming around to what she had been debating upon. Because she hadn't replied yet, but he waited patiently, placing his hands into his front pockets. Jasper let out a soft chuckle towards her response, nodding lightly. "Oh I bet, it's always fun to catch up on a little sleep in the library." he said, sarcasm drenched in every word. "Jasper Donovan, by the way." he introduced.
His eyes danced along her face, taking in her bright, teethy smile. It was simply beautiful and he let one of his own grace his lips. His hand wrapped over the top of the seat as he looked down at her, raising an eyebrow curiously once again. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, a questionable tone could be heard within his voice. Of course, Jasper was flirting, but he wasn't doing it intentionally, not that he wouldn't flirt with the girl in front of him. But his flirtatious ways came natural to him. And the girl in front of him didn't seem to mind.

Alyssa smiled at him sweetly. How old was this boy? That was something she needed to know, but could wait. She just smiled at him. Then she blushed. She could feel the color rizing to her cheeks. It made her want to blush more. Why was she blushing? First impressions meant nothing, even though this guy had made a pretty good one. They meant nothing.
She smiled at him. "Oh, sorry. I'm Reetz." she muttered, stumbling over the words. Then she relized what she said. Now she looked like a blubbering idiot. She felt like she wanted to run off, but then agian, she didn't want to leave him behind, blow him off. "Ah.. Alyssa Reetz." She added. Hoping he'd understand and not think too poorly of her. She faked a half smile as she looked at him.
She looked at him as he wrapped around the chair across from her. "Oh no, I wouldn't mind at all, I may even enjoy it." She said. It would be nice to have somebody to talk to. To actually have a social life. That would be nice. It got lonesome always homework alone in her dorm.

Jasper couldn't help but let a soft chuckle escape his lips towards her blush. Why would she be blushing? was all he could think in that small head of his, and he was left to ponder over her reason for it. Obviously Jasper was oblivious to why the girl would be doing anything of that sort. Did she like him, he mentally shook that off, naw that couldn't be possible. Finally taking from his thoughts he let his eyes dance around the girls face awaiting her response.
Jasper opened his mouth to speak as she introduced herself, he found the name rather interesting before she corrected herself. He let out another soft laugh, that charming smile still planted firmly upon his face as his fingers traced over the edge of the seat. "It's a pleasure to meet you." he said politely, pulling the chair out as she said it was okay. He was slightly curious as to why she kept on stumbling over her words, but he wasn't going to say anything.
He sat down slowly, mainly on the edge of the chair as he leaned towards the table, placing his hands out in front of him on the table, they just barely reached her binder. "Good." he said, charmingly, giving a sly wink. Before he glanced down at the table. "So, what are you 'studying' for?" he asked, glancing at her paper and then back at her, using air quotes when he came to studying, a large playful grin gracing his plump lips.

Alyssa smiled as he laughed. Trying to seem happy. Even though she was embarrased. Was the laughing a good or a bad thing? She bit her lip, trying to not make it noticable. She was so embarrased. She usually didn't act this way. Not around boys anyway. She usually was very put together.
"It's my pleasure to meet you," she said. Not studdering over her words that she silently congratulated herself for in her head. At least she didn't look like a retard this time. She spoke. She looked at his arms outstretched across the table and smiled sweetly. Brushing her hair back behind her ear. She couldn't beleive how charming he was. He seemed like a real gentleman. Just the kind of man she liked.
She thought for a few seconds what he meant by studying? She wasn't studying for anything. Then she got it. "Oh, nothing. I'm just stressing out about this history project that is due in like a week." She said. That was the reason she was in the library with all of her stuff out. She smiled at him. "What are you in here for?" She asked. Flashing a flirtasious smile his way.

Jasper was mainly staring down at the table, sort of picking at it with his fingertips out of nervousness, but he managed to keep the nervousness off of his face. He was really good at hiding his emotions from other, when needed, so it wasn't the most obvious thing, but you could defianatly see it if you looked.
He grinned towards her response, nodding lightly, a sly smirk gracing his plump lips. He leaned back in his chair, straighting out his flannel jacket once again as he stared at her, his gaze connected to hers the whole time. He nodded as she responded to his second statement before asking him the same question."Well, I was catching up on some reading. I seem to be doing that a lot lately." he said, with a confident nod.
He brushed a hand through his hair so that his bangs were no longer in the way of his clear blue eyes. "I'm pretty new to this school, a freshman acctually." he said confidently, not worried that she'd think of him any differently.

She smiled at him softly as he straitened out his shirt. Sucking in her cheeks to bit on their inside. She was so shy around him. But why? For that she had no answer. She just smiled politely. She looked into his hypnotizing gaze. How could she pull away? She didn't care. She just smiled into his gaze.
Then she listened to his answer and smiled and nodded his head. She didn't make a large reply, just the simple words, "that sounds..." she paused thinking of the words to explain what she wanted to say. "Nice," she added. True from heart. She smiled. She didn't know where this conversation was going but she didn't care.
She smiled at him. When he announced his grade she was startled. "Freshman? Really, you look so much older," she said. "You look like at least a Junior, if not a Senior," she said. "How old are you?" She asked. Curious, and now intreged by this conversation due to the fact that the grade he said didn't add up to the age he looked.

Jasper continued to stare into her eyes, not removing them for one minute. His boredom had quickly evaporated from his mind, not that he was bored reading, well he was sorta before. He leaned more into the chair, trying to read her facial expressions but he was coming up dry. A sly smirk appeared upon his lips as she began questioning it. "Well," he started off after listening to her whole response.
"I would be a junior, or at least a sophomore, but.." he paused, debating how to state it. "I guess I'm just not socially ready to be moved up to such grades, hah, whatever that's supposed to mean, plus since I was home schooled all my life, I had to start at the bottom." he explained with a light nod, leaning forward in his chair and picking at the table mindlessly as he stared into her eyes.
"I'm sixteen, you?" he asked, even though he knew it was rude to ask a woman's age, if you could consider her a woman, she was more like a teen, or so she looked like a teen. Anyway, he asked it nonetheless extremely curious.

Alyssa smiled at him softly. Listening to his whole explanation, and his age. "Oh, I see, homeschooling. How cool?" she commented. She was very interested in this guy. If not as a boyfriend maybe as a boy friend. She couldn't help but want to ask more questions about him. She just stared into his eyes. Not only to be polite, speaking to somebody looking them in the eye, but also because she loved the color.
"I'm sixteen as well," she said. That was a definate bonus. She didn't care about grade. Half the time she didn't care about age. It didn't matter. But he seemed very interesting. She kept wanting to know more and more. He was... addicting.
Then she asked a stupid question. A question she instantly regretted asking. "Do you ride?" how stupid of a question was that to ask? They were at a boarding school, that was a horse stable. Of course he was going to ride. Though, she had found students here that didn't. So it wasn't a completely un-understandable question to be asked. She still felt like a fool for asking it though.

Jasper shrugged lightly."To be honest, I'd rather have gone to a normal school, like other kids, but I grew up on a farm, in a small town. So it was pretty isolated."he explained with a light nod, a grin remained on his face during the whole conversation. He raised an eyebrow questionably towards her age, finding it rather interesting. It didn't sound to bad, the two happened to have two things in common, which was an added bonus.
He felt kind of selfish, because he had stolen the limelight. She was asking so many questions about him, that he hadn't had enough time to ask her one back. He laughed softly, breaking their gaze upon each other for a moment to glance at his clothing."Hm, yeah, western. But more for the joy of riding then anything else."he commented as he looked back up, their eyes instantly connecting.
"What about you?"he asked, in retort. It wasn't a dumb question to be asked to him, a lot of kids that came here didn't ride, they were either forced here, or came not knowing there was stables. Jasper of course, loved riding, it was a true passion of his, horses that is.

Alyssa listened then gave a questionable look. "Really I think I would have loved growing up on a farm and being home school." She said to be honest, she would. To have horses she could hang around everyday. To not have to deal with the drama of public school. To never feel the peer pressure of her friends or classmates. In her eyes it would have been great to have his life. Then to finish it off, come here, a stabled high school.
"Western?" She said in a questioned tone. She hadn't met that many westies here. Even though she could do basic western riding, she was much better sitting on an english saddle than a western. "I do English, I do basic English, joy rides, jumping, and hunting." She commented. It almost seemed like she and him were know complete oppisites. But hey, oppisites attract right?
She didn't want this conversation to ever end. He seemed so interesting, and she wanted to get to know him. Even if it took longer than she wanted. In her mind, he'd be a good date to the prom. But she wasn't going to rush anything and ruin any chance she had with him.

Jasper let out a soft chuckle towards her expression, shaking his head lightly. "Well, when you think about it. I'm getting held back for being home schooled, instead of excelling. Yeah, the horses were great, but I got lonely often, living only with my grandmother. My father left before I was born, and my mother died when I was five." he said, tensing up lightly when he mentioned his mother's death. He was slightly worried that she'd ask why and he didn't really want to explain it. He'd end up becoming angered beyond belief, or maybe he'd start hysterically crying. Either way, he didn't want to tell.
He nodded as she questioned his riding. "Wow, that's cool. I don't think I could do jumping." he said, laughing to himself as the thought of personal reasons came up. Plus, he always imagined himself as a western rider, english seemed formal to him. "Yeah, I enjoy going on trails, more then anything. I'm not one for competitions." he added, with a confident nod.
He was starting to get interested into Reetz, haha, well Alyssa but Reetz would probably end up being the first name that came to his mind because it was the first one he was given. Towards his thoughts he chuckled softly, letting his eyes dance around her face.

Alyssa looked as he explained the reasaon he would have liked public school. She listened to his pass. He lived with his grandmother, because his father left and his mother died? The first question that she wanted to ask was something about his mother, how had she died, something. It was a human instict, she thought, to ask those kind of questions. But she tried to hold it off. She had been having such a good time with him so far, she didn't want the conversation to become awkward for either of them. She just let out a quite, "oh," as she tried to keep her questions in her head.
She smiled at his comment about jumping. It wasn't that hard to her, but then again, she had been jumping since she was twelve, and before that she did hunting. So it wasn't that hard for her. But for an onlooker it could seem hard. "It's only really balance and horse and rider cooroperation," she explained. Trying to make it seem more natural, which to her it was.
She nodded in agreement. "I don't usually do trails, I have to do compettitions, because I have to either win money, or a scholarship, because the school's boarding cost is coming out of my collage fund, and I really want to get into a good collage." She explained yet again. Then was quick to add, "It's not that I wouldn't mind doing trails, I just don't usually have time, between school, and my riding lessons and everything." She hoped that that wouldn't be to much of a turn off. She would love to go out and ride, just up a trail, but for one she wasn't very good at western trail riding, and two, she just didn't have time for it.
