So meet my husband and hear our story.
Yes, this is him: Manny. He is 20 years old and is in the active duty for the US Army. Everyone dreams/wants that perfect person in their lives who makes them feel complete. Manny does that for me. He is my other half, completes my world, can brighten my worst day with just a smile. He' sjust perfect and is my entire world. I love him to death and I am so glad we are together. We first met when I was a freshman and he was a junior. I had met him through his cousin who went to my high school who I liked. Pretty much his cousin didn't like me, he actually liked this other girl in which they have been dating for like 4 years now, something like that. He asked Manny to talk to me so I would leave his cousin alone. Anyways, he started talking casually and ended up really liking each other. We almost dated, but I have a cuban mother and she did not like the fact of her, at the time, 14 year old daughter dating this 16 junior who would call me at like 9 at night to go out. Anyways, we did not end up dating and slowly lost touch. Our lives went on, he dated others, so did I. Barely at the beginning of my senior year, one night I got an im from him. We ended up talking from like 12am to like 4 online. It was almost like our friendship back then had come back. That's when I had found out he was in the army blah blah blah. He was on leave in Miami. We decided to met up see a movie. It wasn't a date, but it felt like one, and it felt like we had known each other for so long. One thing that bugged me was that he wasn't station in Miami, he was in Virginia. I wasn't too sure with long distance relationships at the time. But still we pretty much talked almost every day and acted like a couple almost. We began dating when he had come down for leave on Thanksgiving. Sadly, barely after a month we were dating, one of the worst happened: he was to be deployed to Iraq in January for 6 months. THat was probably one of the hardest things ever. I knew there was something special about him and we did decide to stick it out, together. We made it through that very tough time and about 2 months after he had gotten back, we got married. We are as happy as can be.
