Kayden had never had time to unpack, his multiple bags sat unpacked next to his unmade bed. He hadn't been in the dorm much but had noticed someone had moved in with him. He had yet to meet the guy but was hoping he wouldn't be some stuck up bastard. It was late, and Kayden had just returned from picking up a pony for a girl that was wanting to learn to event. The pony had been one of the first horses Kayden had trained to event - Small Stuff, aka Jack was a thirteen and a half hand palomino welsh pony, and even at that small size he could clear a four foot jump with ease.

He had asked who his room mate was, and believe it or not, it was Kayden. He gave a small chuckle as he had walked away, now heading towards his dorm. Well, now it would be a good time to ask what was going on with the mare Ally, he couldn't wait till he got a chance to ride her.
Blake strode easily down the hallway towards his dorm, he felt bad since it was kind of late, but he had just felt like driving around town, seeing what was in it. Stifling a yawn, he opened his door, a bit suprised to see Kayden still up. Like him, Kayden still had unpacked boxes, but more than Kayden. Today, he had taken an hour to unpack some things, like clothes. Hey there. He looked towards his bed, it was sloppy, he hoped Kayden wasn't a neat freak. Blake wouldn't leave the room a disaster, but he wasn't perfect..

Kayden smiled as Blake entered the room – at least he kinda knew his roommate. Kayden lifted his hand and smiled, flopping back onto the bed and grabbing the magazine he had set down. ”Is there ANYTHING to do around here?” Yeah, Kayden was a complete night owl – he hated it, but he needed only like four to six hours of sleep, so he was constantly getting up at the crack of dawn and going to bed really late at night. Hopefully there was something other than riding to do, because as much as he loved riding, even he needed to get away from the barn every once in a while.

He chuckled as he watched Kayden flop onto his bed and pull out a magazine. And then asking him the same question he had asked another person their age. Well...there is the barn. It was a small joke, but he knew how much everyone needed a break from the barn every once and awhile. Besides that...at night there is some teen club, no booze obviously and I'm not sure how late the amusement park is open...or the club for that matter. He contemplated, thinking it probably closed at 11 pm, whatever. This town didn't seem quite like he thought it would, he figured more would be in the town. Oh well. At least the barn area was spectacular.

Kayden groaned at Blake’s joke, interrupting him to speak in a distaste ”Don’t you think I spend enough time out there?” He laughed lightly and listened to Blake talk about the different things to do. None of them appealed to Kayden much. Sure, Kayden had dated, but he really wasn’t into fooling around much. Dating was one thing, but he thought it kind of low class to go out and pick up girls for one night stands. “God, can they make life more boring around here?” He shook his head and leaned down, pulling out an older laptop and flipping it open. Thank god for wireless internet.

Blake gave a nod as he spoke, half-cracking a smile at him. It was probably true, Kayden had to spend most of his time there. Since Blake didn't have a set horse yet, he just chilled, casually walk by the barn, say hello to some horses, then walk back. Well, I figured they could. But I also figured they could make it more exciting. He looked to Kayden, who was now opening up his laptop. The amusement park isn't bad, I've heard the beach is pretty nice as well. He shrugged his shoulders, then flopped onto his bed, leaning back against the pillow. He wasn't even tired now.

Kayden grinned and shrugged, rotating his laptop towards Kayden, the website up with the title Poplar Place Farm in big font across the top. Raising his eyebrows he motioned for Blake to take a look. "What do ya think? I've never been before and it's going to be a hell of a drive - Columbus, Georgia - but i've heard its definitely worth it. I really could use some help over there, and your my first choice. My trainer Jay of course will be there with Stockholm, but i'll need help with grooming and nerves," at this he chuckled lightly. "Jay decided that i didn't need another Prelim before i went up to Intermediate, so without asking me entered me in the Intermediate class." Kayden rubbed his hands together in a nervous way. "If you wanna go we woud be leaving at the crack of dawn Friday morning - and by that i mean loading at three AM - earlier if i have another driver. It'll be about 20 hours."

He heard the rotating laptop and immediately looked over, rolling onto his side, looking towards the screen. That wasn't close enough. Letting out a soft grunt he stood up and walked over to the laptop, kneeling down to be eye level with it. Georgia. That's far. He contemplated it, but when he heard Stockholm, he got interested. He loved watching that horse move from TV. Well, that 20 hour drive sure is clinching. But I'd be a fool not to come along with you guys. It would be an opportunity of a live time, and grooming wasn't that bad. It'd also be a good experience. Well, it won't be hard to wake me up since we're in the same dorm. He chuckled, it would be fairly easy to get up, and get out.

Kayden grinned and closed the laptop. “Well then. It’ll be fun.” Inside though, his stomach churned. Were they really ready for intermediate? He had studied the jumps intensively since he found out the news. The jumps were large and technical, and Poplar place was known for its long distance between the jumps. Shaking his head he stole a look out the window and flopped backwards. “Yeah, the twenty hour drive will be hell, but hopefully it’ll be worth it.” One of his other concerns popped into his mind: Jay’s wrist. He wouldn’t admit it, but from the looks of pain when he finished the course at Red Hills Kayden could tell that the wrist was giving him trouble again – hopefully Jay knew his own limits.
