Amy stood in the field, leaning against the barrel of the beautiful black arab who was grazing calmly. In the girl's hand was a hard brush and she was gently flicking away random specks of dirt. But at the moment she was just relaxing. She loved spending time with her horse. Okay, technically it wasnt HER horse but Amethyst was taking care of her. And she loved Daisy more than anything.
Pulling away from the warm little mare, she began to run the brush across the silky black coat. As she did so she began to sing softly to the horse, as she usually did when she was tired of being quiet. She was singing a song she'd heard on the radio earlier that morning and had stuck in her head. It was Bubbly, by Colbie Caillat and it was currently one of Amy's favorite songs. As she sang, Daisy's ears flicked back curiously to catch the interesting sounds.
Amy patted her shoulder, smiling slightly as she looked at the beautiful horse. Daisy was amazing, a little shy but amazing nonetheless. She was so happy that she had been assigned to her. Daisy needed quality time like this and Amy knew she was the perfect person for the job.

Teegan had met a few people here at Canterbury and so far her schedule had been full of things for her to do, but she was fine with that. She'd rather be busy, than sitting in her room being bored. She strolled through the aisle of the barn and finally landed on Dev's stall. She took the halter and lead rope from his door and easily slipped it over his head and clipped the lead rope under his chin. She walked ahead of him as he plodded along behind her. She wanted to go turn him out, so that he wasn't cooped up inside all day. She took him down the closest open pasture which was next to a dark arabian looking mare. And there was a girl brushing her lightly out in the pasture. Teegan procedded by and took Dev to his pasture walking him in and then turning him around on his haunches, she unclipped the lead rope to go let him play. Ha- yeah right, most horses would gallop off kicking up there heels, Dev just plodded across the field at a lazy trot to go graze on a sweet patch of grass.
Teegan made her way over to the fence that was shared by both Dev's pasture and the pasture beside his that was occupied with a black mare at the moment. Teegan stood at the fence, she could faintly hear the soft sound of lyrics which seemed like they were being sung by the girl over there. Teegan softly climbed the fence as to not spook the horse in the other pasture, she called out gently when she was in earshot of the other girl, Hi- I'm Teegan, your mare is gorgeous, she said sweetly to the other girl standing before her.

Daisy lifted her head and snorted softly at the newcomer, her ears flicking back and forth as she listened to her words. Amy looked up too, seeing Daisy snap to attention. "Aw its okay you big fraidy cat" She cooed to Daisy, smiling as she turned back to Teegan. "Oh, thanks," She grinned. "Yeah she's amazing... a little shy but awesome." she patted Daisy's side affectionately, scratching out a spot of dirt.
"I'm Amy," she said, realizing she hadnt introduced herself yet. "This is my first year here... what about you?" she asked curiously. Amy didnt have a whole lot of friends yet and she was always willing to make new ones... despite her label as a "loner" she did like to be around other people... she was just one of the quieter kids. That didnt mean she was anti social.
