ANDREA;;
She had just met the most amazing guy. His name was Blake, and to Andie, he was so cute and nice. They both were being trained in cross-country, which was kind of cool. They had just met, and now were on there way to the beach. Andie had decided that it would be better to take separete cars. That way, they wouldn't have to go back to get the other one in the Fabio's Pizzeria parking lot.
Andrea arrived just a few minutes before Blake. She got out of her car, and closed the door. She stood there until Blake arrived. Once he did, they headed onto the sand and began to walk. They were walking where the tide hit, so just about every minute, Andie's and Blake's ankles would be splashed with cold, salt water. Andie tried to ignore it.
She didn't really like the ocean though. Of course, she loved dolphins. But she didn't like sharks or crabs, or anything else that could bite, pinch, or kill her. So normally she didn't swim in the ocean. Once in a while, maybe she would go in for only a few moments, but that was it. So, um.. she hesitated, trying to think of something to talk about. Tell me a little about yourself Andie always wanted to know a little bit about a person before starting any kind of relationship with them.

The idea of going to the beach had been a hit, and he was glad to get out of the stuffy pizza place on such a nice day. Climbing into his Durango, he was glad to drive seperate, that way, on his way home he would be able to swing by the barn. He finally reached the beach, but he had been caught at a few more traffic lights than Andie, but he had found it, eventually. After slamming his car door and locking it, he put his lanyard in his back pocket again. Before he left, he had changed into his flip flops, also another reason why he was later than her.
Smile lit his face as he began to walk along the beach, the water made him want to jump the first few times, but then he became accustomed. He loved the ocean, but what he got most attatched to was Lake Michigan, but those days were gone, now he had the ocean, which was better. Eyes gazed out across the ocean, a few seagulls circling over top what he assumed to be a school of fish. When Andie spoke, he turned towards her, the smile brightening up a bit. Well, I lived in a suburb near Chicago, an easy train ride in. I use to do football and lacrosse, but I enjoyed horseback riding more, so I played lacross less often. Hmm, I have one sister... and a dog and a cat, back at home. He chuckled, not sure what else she would want to hear. What about you? Anything special I should know? Playfully, he reached out and gave ger a gentle nudge with his elbow. Eyes focused on her, waiting for her to tell a bit about herself.

ANDREA;;
She listened in on part of his life. Chicago? Never been there a day in my life she thought silently to herself. She kept her attention on him after that thought. Then, he wanted to know about her? About her boring life? Well, he asked for it. So he would get it.
I grew up in Wyomming, pretty boring there. In school I was on drill team, but still rode. I had a pony, Angel, for the longest time. From 7, to 13. I loved her so much. But, I grew to big and had to give her away. Then, I started riding a school horse, Red. I have ridden him for 3 years. she said, hoping Blake wouldn't mind how much of her life she would tell him. Then, Andrea continued, And a couple weeks ago, I had to quit drill team to come here. Kind of hard to do, but I guess I will be ok she said, finally finishing off. It was a hard thing to do, quit drill team. That was leaving all of her friends, well some of them, behind. She missed them. It had also been about 1 month until state. Andrea decided that she would just watch it on t.v. or something.
Anything else you want to know about me? Andrea said, looking at him. Then, she looked at all the people behind him. Since it was afternoon, there were other people there then just them. But, it almost did seem like her and Blake were in a different world. Like it was only them.

Wyoming. Never had he wanted to go there, nothing appealed to him from that state, wasn't it the least populated? Well, maybe there wasn't something in it that they didn't publicize, who knew? Definitely not him. Even she said it was boring, he didn't think he had a drill team at his school, but then again, he didn't pay attention. I would say I know how you feel, but I don't. Did Angel at least go to a good home? He continued walking, didn't he just have another question for her? Tell me more about the drill team, I don't think we had one at my school.. The tide seemed to be coming in, the water felt luke warm now, the sun slowly beginning to descend, rays shining off the water.

She wasn't sure if it was the least populated either. It sure seemed like it though. There was barely anybody in the neighborhood that she had lived it. But then again, the neighborhood was almost in the middle of no where. When he said that he didn't know how she felt, she then had a question. But, she would answer his question too.
She did go to a good home. I got to see the little girl ride her a few times, and they are really cute together. Since you don't know how I feel, have you ever owned a horse? Or have school horses always been your life? she asked him. They were actually having a conversation that would keep going, unlike back at Fabio's. He wanted to know about drill team? Well, it's a dance team. We go to competions and everything. We had been practicing for over a month, and in two weeks we, well they not me anymore, will be going to state. I had been practicing so hard so it is kind of painful to not be able to go, you know? she asked him, wondering if there was anymore he would want to know about drill team or not.

He could see the little girl on the pony Angel, which he saw as a small white mare, and he saw how sad Andie probably was when the pony went off. Yet, the smile on the young girl's face probably made up for it. Hands went down and entered his front pocket, just the fingers. Then she questioned him, own a horse? Yeah, that'd be the day. No, never have come anywhere close. Never have I ever had a regular ride. I never seemed to keep a horse for more than a month, even when I took lessons. Eventually, I was only able to ride when people were injured, sick, or just didn't have time. But, it got me a lot of experience. She continued on about drill team, dance. So, she was a dancer? Couldn't fly out and watch them? Or is that not even an option? It must be hard, working so hard and then not being able to finish it off.

ANDREA;;
She listened how he said how he has never stuck to a horse for more then a month. Andrea rode Angel for 6 years, and so far Red for 3, never just less then a month would she stick to one horse. Then, he asked her if she could just fly out, instead of watching it on t.v. I just wouldn't be able to handle being out there and not down there dancing with them. I wish that I could just practice and go out there and dance with them. I still have my outfit and everything, they let me keep it. But, me dancing with them would just be in my dreams she sighed, having to face the fact that her drill team days were over. she said. Sometimes, Andrea wished she had never come here, but now she was stuck there, so she couldn't go back now.

He gave a small shrug of his shoulders, understanding what she was saying. Just earlier, after his lesson, he had been out on the cross-country course, looking wishfully down at the jumps that he wasn't able to jump. Are there rules stopping you from competing? Or is something were now that you're gone from practices they had to adjust and it would mess them up to re-adjust, again? He understood the dance part, but he didn't know what kind of dancing? Like the dancers at the football games he had played in? Well, these questions he could ask, and have answers to, later when she was a bit more happy and not nostalgic.

When he spoke about the rules, and asked if that is what was stopping her from competing, she realized that that was the reason she couldn't compete too. Andrea had forgotten about them. She had actually thought of how they would have to re-adjust and do the old dance since they probably came up with a new one. Well, yea. I mean, I don't go to that school anymore so I can't compete with a school that I don't go to anymore. I go to Canterbury, not Wyomming High.. Andie said, it kind of making her upset thinking of her life back in Wyomming. She had all her friends, was on drill team, and her life was great. But now, she would have to start over. She would have to realize that that was only one part of her life. And that part, was now over.

He halted momentarily, and pulled off his flipflops, then just held them in his right hand. He didn't want them getting too sandy, and he hated how sand would flip up and hit his shirt. He kind of liked this shirt, regardless of how simple it was. If it was warmer, he probably wouldn't have worn one and start working on his tan. Well, Canterbury isn't that bad. He let out a small smile. I am here, after all. That just makes it amazing. He wanted her to smile, he didn't like it when girls frowned, it would eventually bring his down as well. So, what horse are you riding in the barn?

It did make her smile when he said Canterbury wasn't that bad since he was there. It actually made her giggle a little bit too. You are really funny she said. Maybe whenever she was sad she could go to him. It seemed as though he could cheer her up whenever, like how he just did. He was nice, funny, and don't forget cute. She really wished she could tell him how she did like him a little, but that would just be too weird for her. Anyways, when he asked her what horse she was currently riding, she said, Well, I have my own horse there now. My parents bought him for me for a going away present and he just arrived today actually. His name is Saint. What about you? she asked in return.

He gave a soft chuckle when she called him funny. Tell me something I don't already know. Smile drew his lips in an upward curve as he looked with his green eyes to her. So, she finally got her own horse, good for her. Sounds nice, what was the occasion? He didn't think her birthday was soon, most girl would tell people that in hope of getting a present of some sort. Me? I think I'm going to ride a horse of Kayden's, Ally, nice mover. He looked out across the water, and felt his legs growing tired of walking in the sound, the day had been a hard one for him. Want to sit down? He motioned with his hand to a place where the tide didn't reach and it was smooth, for a beach.

She smiled, letting a soft giggle escape her as well. When he asked what the occasion was, she pretty much already answered that. She wasn't annoyed, and simply replied He was a going away present from my parents, so really no occasion Andrea continued walking, looking around as it seemed the population of the beach had declined a bit. She listened as he talked about one of Kayden's horses, in a very brief description. She just nodded her head. Andrea was tired of walking, they had been walking for what seemed like an hour. So, when he asked if she wanted to sit down, she didn't hesitate at all to say, Sure. She then sat down on the smooth, warm sand, waiting for him to join her.
ooc: sorry it took soo long to reply!
