Kailee looked back up at Chase. She had been gazing at Stoley. Kailee hadn't realized how close she was actually standing to him. Her gazed settled back on the guitar case. She walked over and sat on her trunk. Yea, some. Kailee said to Chase, giving him a shy but challenging smile. Her very well known smile. Kailee had a bad habit of challenging people with her facial expressions.
If you ever give me that look again, I swear I will hurt you! Suddenly Kailee felt a sharp pain in her abdomen where a memory left it's mark. She whimpered slightly and gently placed her hand on her stomach.
What about you? Do you play? Kailee said after taking a deep breath, her voice wavering a little.

When Kailee had given him that smile, making it seem like she was shy but behind the smile he could see and outgoing and flirtatious girl, he couldn't help but smile back all the same. Chase watched Kailee with a strong gaze, he smiled in her direction when she told him that she played some guitar. Chase had never really been a musical guy, music just wasn't in his family's history much. And to be honest, he couldn't read a sheet of music for his life."Me? No, no way. I can't play at all," he told her with a laugh. He kept his stance as he leaned against the stall door of Kailee's horse. He watched her with an intent gaze as she walked over and sat on her trunk. Then it seemed as pain struck her face, and at that a serious expression made it's way to Chase's face as he moved closer to Kailee."Hey, you alright?" He asked her as he saw her clutching her stomach. He was quite worried now, and didn't really know what to do for her.

Kailee looked up at Chase. No, I'm not alright. I will never be alright. Kailee thought to herself, her hand still on her stomach. She looked at him straight in the eye, and wondered if she could tell him the truth. He seemed nice enough, but still a little dangerous. Kailee suddenly realized that she still hadn't answered him. Yea, I'm fine. Her voice wavered as she said it. But, her dark chocolate eyes gave her away.
Stoley pawed at the stall door. Kailee got up and quickly walked over to the stall and opened it hoping that Chase had not seen her eyes. Stoley sensed that there was something wrong and put his large, refined head against Kailee and nuzzled her hair. Almost as if to say that he was there for her.

When Kailee responded with a quick and simple "Yea, I'm fine," Chase sensed that there was something in her eyes that she wasn't telling him, and it seemed as though something was truly wrong."Okay..." he said to her, but still kept an eye on her, because he wasn't totally sure she was alright. But Kailee quickly made an escape and strolled over to her horses stall, where her horse nuzzled into her hair. A small smile pulled at the corner of his mouth as he watch the moment that the horse and rider pair shared. When Kailee made the action to move quickly away from Chase, he took that as a sign to back away- and not teeter around the subject of if she was okay or not.
Kailee seemed very interested in her horse, Chase got up off her trunk and went to lean against the horse's stall again, he looked at Kailee and smiled raising an eyebrow in her direction he asked gently, "So how long have you been horseback riding?" He thought he'd better just keep it on a safe subject to talk about, rather than pushing if she was okay or not. If Kailee wanted to tell him, she would- but she'd kept her mouth shut so he didn't pressure her into anything.

Kailee tried not to think about the memories. My entire life. Kailee said. She felt him keeping an eye on her, but she didn't care. Stoley shoved her a little with his nose. Kailee smiled at the horse and poked his muzzle. She laughed at his expression. The girl felt as though the memory was trying to come back into her focus. Kailee kept trying to keep it away, but it wasn't easy.
My family has a farm back home. Kailee said as she turned a looked at Chase. She smiled a little. Stoley tried to get her attention again. She looked back at the horse and started playing with his mouth a little. What about you? How long have you been riding? Kailee asked him.
