She laughed and shook her head slightly. We didn't have the time... she trailed off. Or the money she finished softly with a slight shrug. It had never bothered her, their tight budget, because almost everyone else was in the same spot. Not so, here. Peopl ehere were rich, they had plenty extra an dgot everything they wanted, and it as suddenly akward to be telling someone that they barely had the money to send her here...

Levi looked at her and then regreted asking the question. Oh I'm sorry. Levi said. He knew money was sometimes a problem around there stables back at home but no one ever talked about it. Levi's parents would make sure they didnt talk about financial problems with the kids. Levi always knew what was going on but they regained there money loss by selling some land that they didnt need any more. All the feilds they kept becuase they were making a profit on them. Maybe things werent lucky for other people just becuase it was lucky for their family. Not everyones perfect and most families know about their money problems. Your family just keeps it from you. Levi said to himself. He found out about his parents money problems when he walked in on a conversation. He promised he hadnt heard anything but he had. He looked at Delany.

She smiled and shook her head. No, don't be she said swiftly. Life's tough. You just gotta be tougher... She flashed a smile, her typical bright, sunny, signiture smile. You never really notice it back home, because it's the same for everyone. Everybody's money is tight and budgeted... She laughed a bit. It was a s hock to com ehere and find that some people don't have a budget. SHe shook her head. It's crazy the different worlds we can come from. But I guess it takes all sorts she said brightly. It really wasn't something that bo thered her all that much. Delany had a bright, sunny outlook anyway. She was one of those people that it was hard to bring her down. She flashed him another smile, this time one of those "just between us" thing, like htey shared in some big secret. It was another of those flirty things that she didn't even realize she did. Soooo.. she said, kind of running out of questions. Your turn she said with a laugh.

Levi smiled at her. He wished that he could be as strong as her on some of his old problems in life. Everyone is differnt though. Yea everyones lives are different, and no one can change them. Levi said. He looked down to his horse who was walking along with Delany's horse step by step. Hmmm I dont know... haha. I dont know what we should talk about now. Levi said. He was searching his brain for anything he could find. Have you ever had a boyfriend? Levi asked. This was the only thing he could think of. He looked at her and smiled. You dont have to reply if you dont want to. Levi said.

She laughed and shook her head. Nah, all the guy sback home were jerks. And all the cowboys who might have had a chance rodeoed, so they were there one day and gone the next. She laughed. It's pretty hard core rodeo back home she said with a smile, and nodded. It was great. She reached up to shift a piece of hair out of her face, and gave Levi's hand a squeeze, realizing she still held it. What about you? she asked.

Wow seriously. Levi said about the guys being there one day and gone the next. He thought he lived in a place where rodeo was pretty hard-core, but no one would go to the extreme and push the limits. Well I had one girlfriend but that lasted about a day because the girls act fake to get you and then when you start going out their true colors really start to fly. Levi said laughing. He knew that was what was "cool" to do at his school and only some of the girls did act like themselves, but those girls would be nothing more then just friends. Levi looked at Delany and smiled.

She laughed slightly. Yeah. There was rodeo every weekend, so they were always off doing something. She grinned. And just so you know I suck at lieing Delany laughed. So everything you see is true colors, cuz I can't tell a lie! she exclaimed, shaking her head. She slipped her hand free of his to run her fingers through her hair. She really did want him to know that she was an honest girl, that she wouldn't try and pull him into doing anything neither one of them really wanted to do. She was who she appeared to be...

Levi smiled at her. He knew she wasnt lying about anything. Ya, and I'm telling you the exact truth to you too. Like... Levi started to say. He knew what he was going to say may be a little early but he wanted to be truthful. ...i like you. Levi said. He kept his eyes looking at hers. He wanted her to know he was tellling the truth. She probably thinks your weird for thinking something this quick. Levi thought to himself. He couldn't help it though. He trusted Delany already and knew she wasnt lying about anything. She wasnt like any of them girls back at home who strived to be cool and they were fake. Delany was nothing like them and Levi liked that.
Those girls were constantly going to check there lip gloss and makeup in the bathroom. They flirted with every guy even if they had a boyfriend. They all would try out for the cheerleading squad so that they could wear there cheer uniform to school. Levi laughed at the memory but he could remember that every girl tried to be cool.

She laughed. Nope, she wasn't a thing like those girls. She put makeup on once, (When she wore it at all) and left it alone after that, even if it ran or faded. Back home, every minute was spent wisely. You didn't have time for primping and pruning. It was wasted time, and it wasn't even well wasted time. There was some wasted time that was well wasted. Makeup checks was definitely not one of those. She smiled in response to his next words. Good, cuz I like you too she murmured, looking at him with a small, sly smile. Levi was one of those guys that it was easy to be relaxed around and just sort of hang loose. She liked that. Easy to get alone with, easy-going, humorous. Yeha, he was definitely a good kid.

Levi smiled at her. Levi was glad that she wasnt like those girls and didnt care about their makeup. Will you be my girlfriend? Levi asked looking into her eyes. This seemed like the perfect moment to ask. They were on the beach and riding horses and with a sunset. What more could you ask for? Levi put one hand on his knee and the other hand held the reins. He was a little nervous for the answer, but if she didnt want to be a couple then that would be ok. He only wanted her to say yes only if she really wanted to. He didnt want her to think she had to. He looked into her eyes.

Of course she responded instantly, brightly, although she wasn't quite sure what to think, though. It wasn't like she'd ever had an official boyfriend before. But she doubted things would change much. They were already practically an item. She smiled broadly.

Levi smiled and looked at Delany's eyes. Levi didnt know what to say. Ok. Levi said smiling. He was happy and releaved at the same time. He never really had a real girlfriend before. I just dont want a one day relationship like at home. Levi said to himself. Back at home he had a girlfriend for one day and she broke up with him because things wouldnt work out. It was probably just a dare from a friend or just to say she went out with him. Levi looked at Delany and knew it wouldnt be just a one day thing.
