Caleb pulled out into the street with deft easy. He maneuvered through the cars, eyes intent on the road ahead of him. He picked up speed until they were flying down the street, zipping in and out of the line of cars. He even rolled up onto the sidewalk and revved his engine as he sped down it, easily dodging the pedestrians. With a smooth transition, he moved back onto the street and sped up. The light ahead of them was yellow. This, however, did little to slow his bike. He grinned wildly as they shot through the intersection, chased by the blaring horns of cars that hadn't even been giving the green light yet. He slowed finally as the pizzeria came into view. With a gliding stop, he turned the motorcycle off and glanced at Teegan as he pulled his helmet off.
"How are you? Didn't lose anything back there, did you?"
He smiled a bit apologetically at her before climbing off the bike and hooking his helmet on the handle bars. He reached out a hand to help her off, still grinning.

Teegan kept her head against Caleb's shoulder as they zoomed through traffic and she couldn't help but notice he just made in through the light at the intersection as it turned red. She was getting such an adrenline rush from this, and it was actually really fun riding on a motorcycle. Although you almost gave me a heart attack, riding on the sidewalk; it was fun, it gave me quite the adreniline rush, she said with a smile- as she pulled off his extra helmet and handed it to him as she climbed off of his bike. She ran a few fingers through her hair quickly just to brush the strands from her face. She smiled at Caleb and waited for him for a moment before the two walked up to the pizzeria doors.

Caleb smiled at her mention of an adrenaline rush. That was exactly how he felt when he rode, both bike and horse. The pure thrill of speeding across the land - that was his kind of ecstasy. He took the proffered helmet and put it back in the compartment at the back of his bike. Dropping the keys into his pocket, he walked with her into the pizzeria. As Tony walked towards them, Caleb rose his hand and gestured that there were only two of them. Tony nodded and led them to a table. Caleb pulled out her chair for her, ever the gentleman, before taking his own seat. He didn't even glance at the menu.
"I'll take my usual, Tony."
Tony nodded brusquely and turned to Teegan.

Teegan walked along side of Caleb as the two walked up and through the doors to the Pizzera, she watched as Caleb gestured to the waiter than there were just two of them- then she followed the two back to the table. As he pulled out her chair for her, she couldn't help but smile, Aww; thanks. Aren't you just a regular gentlemen, she said sweetly.
She listened as Caleb told the waiter he'd just have his usually, she waited for him to turn to her- then she responded with I'll just have a slice of cheese pizza, and a sprite. She told him. Then once he'd written her order and walked off; she turned to Caleb and smiled then asked- So- how long have you had your motorcycle? She asked him figuring that his motorcycle was something that he was passionate about.

Caleb couldn't help but to grin at her 'gentleman' comment. He'd always respected girls. It must have something to do with having a younger sister. He listened to her order as he stared out the window. Traffic was dying down, leaving the street almost barren. A few girls huddled outside, crowded around another girl, head bent as she talked into a phone. He imagined it was some guy that she currently thought she loved but who would no doubt dump her in a week or so. He turned back to Teegan.
"I've had it for three years. For two of those years I was mostly fixing it up, making it go faster, you know... But I got my license two years ago and have been riding ever since."
He lifted his gaze from her and stared at Tony hungrily. Tony, almost as if he sensed Caleb's restlessness, lifted two plates and walked over, Anita following with the drinks. Tony set down Teegan's slice of cheese and delivered Caleb's vegetable pizza to him. Anita set down the Sprite and Ginger Ale.
"Enjoy!"
He grinned as he took a bit of his pizza, burning his tongue.
"Ouch! Tony, come on, man! You could've warned me!"
Tony just laughed from where he stood at the counter. Caleb rolled his eyes.
"So, what do you like to do other than ride horses?"

Teegan listened closley to him as he talked about fixing up his motorcycle, for most of the time that he'd had it. She knew a little bit about fixing up vehicles, but not much; she just knew because he twin brother, Austin, had a love for cars and when he wasn't riding- we was working on his car. Awesome, my twin brother, is kinda like that too; he's spends just about ever weekend working on his car to make it better and faster, Teegan told him, a small laugh escaping her lips- imagining Austin probably under the hood of his car at this very moment too back in Chicago.
Teegan then heard footsteps and turned to see the waiter briniging their pizza, and another waitress brining out the drinks for the two. Thanks, Teegan responded to both of them with a simply smile on her face.
She took a sip over sprite, as she watched Caleb burn his mouth on his pizza. She couldn't help but say, Of course it's going to be hot, what... did you expect cold pizza? Teegan said with a laughing then let a smile rest on her face, just to assure Caleb that she was totally joking.
As he asked what she liked to do other than horseback riding, she smiled before answering with, Oh, you know the usual getting my hair and nails done every other day, shopping, talk on my cell phone 24/7, She smiled, laughter twinkling in her eyes as she tried acting serious, but it wasn't working.. No- not really, I read alot; and I draw a little bit too- but other than that I pretty much spend all my time with the horses, she told him with a smile on her face.

Caleb stuck his tongue out at Teegan, rolling his eyes. He looked down at the slightly steaming vegetables. He sighed. He wanted his pizza! Instead, he just looked away from it out the window. He listened in silence to Teegan before speaking.
"Hahaha. Make fun of the idiot." He rolled his eyes. "See, pure girly-girl." He paused. "You draw?" He turned to look at her, eyes wide.

Teegan picked up her slice of pizza and blew on in gently in attempts to cool it down a little bit before she took her first bite out of it. She chewed her bite of pizza as she turned her blonde haired head to glance out the window a moment, before turning back to Caleb. She smiled slightly at him, before asking on a more serious note Do you really think I'm just some girly-girl, who sits at the beach tanning all day, or spends all her time shopping? She asked; she hated when people thought she was just a stupid blonde.
She took a long sip of her sprite and looked at Caleb, when he said You draw?' she nodded, Yeah a little bit, I'm not amazing or anything; i just get alot of practice from all the doodling i do when I'm bored, she told him. Then took another sip of her drink and then rested it back down on the table. So what are your other interestes besides horses and your motorcycle? She asked shooting the same question back at him.

Caleb turned his head back to Teegan at her question, eyes wide with amusement.
"Teegan, I was just joking about the girly-girl stuff. You're a rider. A rider isn't a girly-girl, at least deep down. Appearances are only skin deep. Don't worry about what other people think. You know that you're not some stupid blonde who only cares about her physique and the evenness of her tan and how much she can buy on daddy's credit card. That's all that matters."
He went for another go at the pizza and was glad to see it'd cooled a little bit. He took a few bites before replying to her question.
"Well, for the most part, I ride - either Hershey or the Harley out front... mostly Hershey. I swim and can do a damn good front crawl if you ask me. And... I draw, too," he confessed, looking away, as if embarrassed.

Teegan took another bite of her pizza which had thankfull cooled down, she set the slice back on her plate and reached for her napkin to wipe her mouth. She looked into Caleb's eyes with a soft expression on her face, as he spoke about what mattered most, and it wasn't what was on the outside, but what was on the inside.
Sorry, Teegan muttered; she hated when she did stuff like this- when she thought someone just thought she was just a girly-girl like right now with Caleb, but he truly didn't. She looked down at her food for a moment, I guess that's part of it- I dwell to much on what others think, and I hate it when people don't like me or whatever. Teegan said, she hadn't felt like this in awhile, but honestly all she wanted right now was someone to talk to, and that somone was her mother. She'd been Teegan's bestfriend; someone she could tell everything, but that wasn't going to happen now.
Teegan felt a small tear well up in her eye, she quickly wiped the corner of her eye with one of her fingers and looked back to Caleb. She needed to change the subject You draw too? She said with a smile, That's awesome, so what kind of things do you like to draw the most? she asked him.
See there it was again; Teegan had moved past her own feelings when she was really hurting on the inside- she always took care of others before she took care of herself, but sometimes that wasn't the best of choices.

Caleb ate slowly, though all he wanted to do was inhale the it. He froze when he saw her eyes tear up. He leaned forward, brown eyes laden with concern.
"Teegan, what's wrong?" He narrowed his eyes. "And don't give me any crap about it being nothing. Something's wrong. Now what is it? You can talk to me."

Teegan saw the concern on Caleb's face and he'd asked her what was wrong, and told her, that her answer couldn't just be nothing, something was wrong. She rested her elbow on the table, she didn't really care at the moment if it was the improper thing to do, she exhaled slowly before speaking, It's a long story... Teegan said; then gave him the tiny details of; I'm just missing my best friend, I just really need her right now. Teegan told him; she left out it being the detail that he was her mother she needed, unless he asked she was going to coninute blabbing on that was one of her flaws- and what she'd learned not to do with her riding trainer.

[HAH. Kayden is a jerk. Kaylin abhors him. ] Caleb frowned, worried. "You might not know me well, but, Teegan, if you need to talk about something, you can talk to me. I grew up with a younger sister. I'm used to it." He tried to make a joke out of it but it didn't feel right. He was genuinly concerned about her.

Teegan looked down for a moment, letting Caleb's words sink in- he wanted her to talk to him. She twirled the straw in her drink before looking up at him again, she took a deep breath then started with, I guess it's just been kind of stressful, making the adjustment of coming away to school like this; and not having my family to talk to all the time. She was almost at a loss for words and truly didn't really know how to explain what she was feeling right now. I just really wish I was able to talk to my mom right now, she was my best friend, Teegan told him; then took another small breath then added- But she passed away when I was 10. Teegan wiped her thumbs under her eyes, to keep any tears from spilling out- she really didn't want to cry right now.

Caleb watched Teegan, eyes concerned and slightly wary. He didn't know what she would tell him, or if she would even say anything. She might just get up and leave. He frowned sympathetically after she was done talking. He pushed his pizza aside and lightly touched her hand - not in an intimate way, but a tender, concerned way. He pulled a napkin from the dispenser and handed it to her.
"I'm truly sorry to hear about that. I can't pretend to know how tough it might be, so I won't. But I've seen first hand what a loss can do to you." He thought about West and his sister for a moment. "Teegan, don't ever think your mother isn't with you. I'm sure she's always there, right by your side, through thick and thin. When you need to talk to her, just go to a private place and talk. Let out your thoughts, your worries, your grief for losing her. I know it might sound crazy, but it helps. And if you ever need anyone at any time, I always have my cell with me, in case you need some support. Come on, Tee, I don't like seeing you cry. It's going to be okay."
