Kaylin held tight to Caleb as he zipped through traffic, easily dodging cars and what not. His speed amazed her. However, it didn't please her. The yellow light up ahead did little to slow Caleb's speed and they flew through the intersection. Kaylin's shout of fear was drowned out by the blaring horns. She pressed her face into Caleb's back, eyes closed, until she felt the bike slow and stop. She leapt away from Caleb and his Harley, eyes narrowed in a glare.
"You might have a death wish, but I don't." Caleb just laughed. "I'll see you later. Have fun at the beach." Caleb waved and took off again.
Shaking her head, Kaylin went into the cafe and ordered a French Vanilla cappuchino. She didn't like the bitter taste of coffee, and this cafe made cappuchinos with only a smidge of the disgusting drink that so many people liked. She went over to a table and sat down, glancing around for someone she might know.

The girl slid into the cafe. She tugged her jacket a bit tighter around her and glanced around for a familiar face. There was one girl she thought might have been from the Academy, but she wasn't sure. She stepped up to the counter and ordered a Chai Tea. She stood around for a few minutes, waiting to receive the drink, then glanced around again.
She finally wandered over to the girl who looked only mildly familiar, smiling her usual bright, open smile. Hey, I'm Delany she said brightly. Mind if I sit? she asked, motioning at the empty chair. The girl was pretty, she decided, although it wasn't in Delany's nature to judge people just on looks. She seemed like a good sort, though. She smiled and settled gracefully into the chair when she had received the reply..

Kaylin sipped from her French Vanilla Cappuchino, the flavor rolling over her tongue as the hot liquid sped down her throat. With mild eyes, she glanced around. Not many people were here... but the girl who'd just walked in looked like someone Kaylin had seen around school. She glanced away, out the window. The street was bustling. She watched a mother, struggling with all of her bags, walking down a street, phone to one ear, child's plaintive cries in the other. Kaylin sighed. If you couldn't spend quality time with Junior, send him to the nanny or babysitter. It wasn't fair to the kid. Kaylin glanced up when she heard a voice. She smiled up at Delaney and motioned for her to take the seat.
I'm Kaylin Camrak. She smiled at Delaney as the other girl sat. You go to Canterbury, right?
