Caleb remained standing. He leaned against the tree, arms crossed across his chest. The sun beat down on him, so he tugged off his tee and pulled on his button down - unbuttoned of course - on. The wind flapped at it, lifting it away from his body even as he leaned back against the tree. His eyes were on the sky when he said, Prom. What are we supposed to wear - the guys, I mean.

Kailee looked up at him. She thought for a minute. Kailee looked over at him, she was afraid that she had ruined her chances at getting Caleb to like her.
A suit or tux, I guess. It's kind of up to you between those two. Kailee said looking over at some other students.
Listen Caleb. I'm sorry about earlier. I have always been like that. I'm sorry I made it all awkward. Kailee looked back up at him, she felt sooo stupid, and her eyes showed it.

Caleb stared at the sky as he rubbed his taut stomach. What's the difference between a suit and a tux? He glanced at her at her next sentences. Kailee, don't worry about it. I wanted to know. I'm.......... glad that you told me. He looked away once again but came to sit beside her. He tugged at his shirt. He was so used to wearing no shirt that the shirt he was wearing now seemed itchy and awkward.

Now how the hell am I supposed to know the difference? Kailee said, laughing. When he said that he was glad she had told him. But, she couldn't tell if he was telling her the truth. Kailee wondered if he did mean it, or if he was just saying it to make her feel better about it.
She looked at him, her eyes questioning him. Kailee hadn't ever told anyone about what had happened in her past. She needed to know if he meant it or not. But at the same time, wondered if they would ever be more than friends.

He seemed to sense her confusion. "Relax, Kai, I'm being honest with you." He leaned back against the bench, lost in thought. The sound of footsteps approaching made him look up.

Kaylin walked slowly across the campus, confident and easy going. She'd been on her way to the barn when she'd seen Caleb from a distance. Why the hell was he punching a tree? He was with a girl. Interesting. Kaylin slowed and strolled towards the two people - her brother, the girl. Her grey eyes sparkled. She smirked as Caleb lifted off his tee. Idiot. He shouldn't do that. He obviously didn't realize what he did to girls. She slowly approached the bench to overhear something about what the girl had said, and her brother asking about suits and tuxes. She rolled her eyes. Honestly, Caleb, you're attire is entirely indecent. You should be ashamed.

Kailee looked from Caleb to the girl to Caleb again. She looked back at the girl and wondered what she had heard or seen. Hoping that she hadn't heard any of Kailee's story, she slowly stood up. Kailee let out a small chuckle at the girl's comment about Caleb's attire. Hi, I'm Kailee. And you are?

Caleb grinned up at her. He stood slowly and stared down at her. With a laugh, he grabbed her up and flung her over his shoulder, despite her flailing extremities. His tickles did nothing to calm her flying arms and legs as she shouted and laughed. Come on, Shorty, you know you like it. Don't ruin my fun. She shouted something about him being a pervert and lightly set her on her feet. Holding one hand to her head, he stopped any attempts at flailing him. Woaaaaaaaah, there, Slugger. She stopped and crossed her arms, pouting. Baby. Caleb's simple word sent her into another flurry of attacks. He rolled his eyes, hand once again on her hand, and turned to Kailee, smirking.

Watching them, Kailee thought of her sister back at home, Kate. She smiled as Caleb swung the girl onto his shoulder. It was something Kate would do, but Kate would take it a step further and drop you. Kailee laughed at their antics. When Caleb sent a smirk her way, Kailee sent the exact same look back at him. Yet, she still wondered who the girl was.

Kaylin pouted, her pretty face darkening in annoyance. She glared at Caleb but her face immediately brightened when she looked at Kailee. I'm Kaylin. She grinned and stepped closer to Kailee, stage whispering, Why are you hanging with Caleb? He's a total oaf! Do you like him? When Caleb said calmly, I heard that, she smirked.

Kailee smiled at Kaylin. Maybe I do, maybe I don't. She stage whispered back. Although, she did give Kaylin a look that suggested the earlier. Kailee looked over at Caleb and flashed him an innocent smile. Looking back at Kaylin, she laughed. Are you by chance his, Kailee tilted her head in Caleb's direction, little sister?

Kaylin clapped her hands at Kailee's answer. She spun around and stage whispered to Caleb, I think she likes you, Cale! She looked back to Kailee. She could almost see it in the older girl's eyes. She nodded happily. Yup, the one and only Kaylin Camrak.

Caleb rolled his eyes at Kaylin. Slugger, shut up. He looked apologetically at Kailee, not knowing the truth in his sister's words. She's had one too many jelly rings today, Kai. Just ignore her. Kaylin stuck her tongue out at him and he sighed, shaking his head.

Kailee laughed, though her eyes said something. Those liquid chocolate eyes always said her words for her, that there was some truth in Kaylin's words. Maybe I don't want to ignore her. Kailee challenged Caleb, gazing at him playfully.

Caleb shrugged. By all means, help her be annoying. He let Kaylin's fist hit his arm. Slugger, what have I told you about hitting me? His voice was slightly warning. He leaned against the tree, eyes thoughtful, as Kaylin turned back to Kailee and asked Do you want to go to the prom with him?
