Walking in the soft grass in the Campus Park, Kailee looked around at what would be her home for the next 2 years. She walked over to a near bench with her guitar case in hand. One of her favorite things to do was to sit outside and sing and play her guitar. She didn't go very many places without it. Kailee pulled out her guitar and tried to think of a song.
But, no words came to mind, so Kailee just sat there and strummed on her guitar and sang notes along with it, but not words. She had taken voice lessons since she was 6 and had been playing guitar since she could remember. But, she wished that someone would come up and talk to her. Kailee was not one to just walk up to someone and start talking, so she waited for someone to come over and played her guitar and sang, her soft voice echoed through the park.

The young girl wandered through the park. Well, I suppose she wasn't that young. She was a senior after all. But by most people's standards, she was still young.
Her hands were shoved in her jeans pockets. They were simple jeans, with purple stitching on the butt pockets. A jacket was worn over a lavender tank top. It was a black jacket, to be exact, and her hair was left to hang by her face. Her makeup was simple, with a slightly thick line of eyeliner around her eyes, and lavender eye shadow and cotton-candy lip glos that made her lips shimmer.
Her gaze wandered to the girl whos at with her guitar. She was good, for sure. Mackenzie'd never had a knack for guitar, but she could sing. Which worked well for her, as she liked singing better than instruments. Her feet wandered closer to the other young lady, until she stood over her. Hi she murmured softly. Mind if I sit? she asked, nodding toward the empty space on the bench. Her hair cascaded in front of her face, and she shook it out of her eyes until she could see, and a small, open smile was worn on her glossy lips...

Kailee was in her own world. She didn't even notice that anyone else was in the park. Suddenly, she heard a soft voice. She jumped, but hoped the girl didn't notice. Hey. Go for it. Kailee said with a shy smile.
Kailee leaned her guitar against the bench. She quickly threw her shoulder length brown her up into a messy bun. I'm Kailee by the way. Kailee said quietly, hating herself for talking first, her least favorite thing to do. And you are?

The girl smiled warmly, hearing the timid-ness in the other girl's voice. Sorry, how rude of me she murmured, taking her seat next to Kailee. I'm Mackenzie. She nodded a bit. An open smile crossed her dainty features.
Huge, doe-like eyes took in the scenery around them. So how long have you been here at Canterbury? she asked criously. She tucked her hands into her jacket pockets and looked at the other girl in expectation of a reply. She was an open, friendly person, and most people would tell you that she wasn't at all hard to talk to. Today there was something almost tired about her. SHe just seemed very laid back.
She shook a stray strand of hair out of her eyes. The wind stirred softly in the trees, lifting the branches and rustling the leaves. It was peacefully quiet, despite the hustel and bustle of the other students. It seemed like people always had somewhere to be or go...It was nice to just kick back and sit for a while...
