dream big...big as the ocean blue
The girl bought herself a ticket for whatever movie was playing. She wasn't too picky. She was really just bored enough to come watch a movie, any movie. It seemed there was nothing better to do. So here she was.
She bought herself a big thing of popcorn and a Sasparilla root beer and slid into the theatre. Blue eyes trailed to the movie screen with a rather bored air. Maybe it'd be an ok movie. Shewas surprised it had been one she'd actually wanted to see. Doomsday. (I know it's not even out yet, but it was the first thing that came to mind. xP) It had looked good, anyway, although she was finding that she hardly ever liked a movie as well as she thought she would from the previews...
Her mind wandered as she waited for the flick to start, and all the pre-preview stuff came on. THe stuff about buying yourself a big tub of popcorn and large pepsi and please be polite and turn off your cellp hone and blah blah blah. SHe didn't even own a cell phone, stupids. Honestly she was a little old fashioned for the whole cellphone thing. She knew how to work them and everything. But she was used to doing everything the old fashioned way. It was just the way her family was. She supposed she wasin for a culture shock. It was probably gonna be a bunch of prissy kids with tons of money and rich mommies and daddies. The type who hated getting their hands dirty or breaking a nail. Now that she thought of it like that, she kind of regretted coming here...THen again, maybe it wouldn't be as bad as all that...Her thoughts stopped in their tracks as the movie started...finally.

Jenna didn't have anything to do at CA. No horse to ride yet, no work to do, no nothing. So she decided to go to the movies, to see Doomsday actually. Usually she would go to the movies with a bunch of friends or with a guy, but she had yet to make any friends at CA. With that thought, a wave of anger swept through her and she scoweled. She was angry at her mother for sending her here and angry at her stepdad, Richard, for having the money to send her.
She whipped her red Porsche Boxter into a parking space and sped into the theater, adjusting her red sweater as she waited in the ticket line. She was late, the movie started eight minutes ago. She bought a ticket and hurried into the theater. It was crowded and she searched for an empty seat, squinting her eyes to see in the darkness. She spotted any empty one next to a girl who looked about her age. Is anyone sitting here, she whispered to the girl.

The girl glanced up and smiled brightly. Not at all she responded. The previews had finally ended and the movie was just beginning. She smiled at the prospect of meeting someone new. Her eyes remained trained on the screen. I'm Delany she whispered, and was shushed by someone behind her. She rolled her eyes and made a rediculous face.
She offered her huge tub of popcorn to the girl next to her. I'm never gonna eat all this... she whispered. She leaned back, tipping her head back far to look at the projector. Her eyes trained to the screen again and she heaved a sigh. She couldn't help but wonder if it was going to be as good as the previews said. Seemed like nothing was ever as good as it seemed.

Jenna smiled and slid into the open seat. I'm Jenna. She almost laughed aloud when someone in the row behind them shushed them. The movie hadn't really even started, at least the action of the movie hadn't. Delany offered her popcorn and she took a couple peices, wispering a thank you. She loved movie theater popcorn. After watching the movie for a couple minutes, Jenna searched her purse and pulled out a box of junior mints, her favorite candy. She opened the box and pushed it in Delany's direction. Chocolate? she whispered.
Jenna leaned back into the comfortable chair and crossed her legs. That was the way she always sat; it was like a habit. She munched absentmindedly on the candy, focusing on the screen. The movie was turning out to be pretty good and she was glad.

The girl settled back, letting the movie flick by. oo, thanks she said, grabbing a couple of the mints. She popped open the Sasparilla. It was a fairly small bottle and it was drained before long and set carefully on the floor at her feet. The movie turned out to be pretty good. Better than she had thought it would be, anyway. Not too much her style, but not bad none the less.
When the movie was over a while later, Delany blinked as the lights came on, standing and stretching. She waited patiently as the people filed by. So do you go to Canterbury, Jenna? she asked brightly as they waited for an opening in the steady flow of people. She was clearly an outgoing person, to be able to so easilly strike up a conversation with almost a complete stranger. And she was. Not shy in the least.
