Good Morning, Sunshine. Jake woke up in a good mood, from having such a fun time the night before at the club where he met the stunning Ashlynn, who he was escorting to class this fine morning, ha. He showered the night before so he woke up and threw on a clean plain green t-shirt and a pair of khaki cargo shorts and slipped on his socks and his old wore adidas with navy blue stripes. He stuffed his books in his black jansport backpack, in a very unorganized boyish manner, and slung it over his back and it hung low down his back. He locked his dorm room and threw his keys in his pocket. He would walk to get Ashlynn this morning, the weather was beautiful the sun hovering over head brought warmth to the air; unlike the chilliness from the night before.
Jake crossed the campus park that seperated the girls and the guys dorms from each other, and waited outside for Ashlynn. He leaned against the street light at the sidewalk, and watched the doors for the pretty teen. This morning Jake's hair was down; no gel just natural; he always thought he looked funny with out his normal hair style of gelled hair in the front, he really hoped that Ashlynn didn't laugh at him.

ASHLYNN JUST BECAUSE SHE COMES OFF STRONG, doesn't mean she didn't fall asleep crying.
She'd stayed up a majority of the night over a sketchpad, with her i-pod blaring, contemplating the time she'd spent at the club with Jake. But soon enough, she grew weary and had to turn in. Early that morning, she was in a frenzy to get ready. After taking a quick shower, she quickly dressed. One had to wonder how she dressed in such bright colors without them clashing, or looking bad. Around her right wrist was a bright lime green wristband and tied around her left was a dark blue bandanna with random white designs. Around her neck, a simple locket hung. Though it always remained tightly closed, within it, on the left side there was nothing but on the right was a picture she'd taken of her little sister Kristie, just a day before she'd been killed.
She was dressed in a low-cut black and red shirt that rose every now and then to reveal her midriff, with MAYDAY PARADE blazing across the front of her chest. Clad in her favorite jeans, that sported the signatures of many numerous friends, as well as dates, doodles, and random quotes, she looked completely different than she had in the dress from the night before. Snatching up her backpack that'd probably seen as many good times as her jeans had, she slipped on her black and blue Nike shoes and headed out the door.
A quick scan around her sunlit surroundings quickly revealed Jake. A broad smile was flashed to him as she jogged towards him, "Hey there," Glancing up, she regarded his hair with a soft laugh. "Aw, you look like a little Teddy Bear." She winked playfully, bumping her hip against his own. And that was that. She'd christened Jake as "Teddy Bear" in her book, though she wasn't too sure if he would accept that "pet-name." Because, in all honesty, he did seem like the macho type. Her heart swelled, pulse racing. She felt like a little school-girl.

When the teen saw Ashlynn emerge from her dorm building, a wide smile spread across his face as she ran across the sidewalk over to him. Good morning, Sunshine; he teased at her. This morning she was dressed in a totally different outfit than what he'd seen her in the night before, but he liked that she didn't have to dress up all the time, which made him smile even more. When she said that he looked like a little teddy bear; little? he couldn't help but laugh and covered his hair with his hand I think I'm a lot bigger than you are he laughed- he did somewhat tower over her; she had small figure of maybe around 5'4? and Jake stood a good 6 feet tall. Then bumped her hip with his after she'd done it to him. He began to walk in the other direction back across the campus park; leading to the math building of the academy; where the two of them had Calculus together. Jake might actually going to class now, especially Calc. and zoology; being that he had both of them with Ashlynn. He glance over at her and smiled as the two kept walking.

ASHLYNN JUST BECAUSE SHE COMES OFF STRONG, doesn't mean she didn't fall asleep crying.
A grin flooded across her face and she laughed merrily, "Aw, but little teddy bears get to sleep with girls at night," She teased playfully. As he mentioned being bigger than her and she flushed, though not necessarily in a flustered manner but out of sheer jubilance. "Good morning to you too, Teddy Bear." Ashlynn murmured softly, laughing as she once more bumped her hip against his own as they made their way across the campus park. For once, instead of being focused on ignoring the world around her and those in it, she was entirely focused on Jake and him alone. The night before had been wonderful and today was absolutely destined to be just as wonderful, if not better.
"You look great, dollface."
Another coy grin curved her lips upward, giggling softly. Forgetting about the fact she'd sworn to herself not to fall for him, or even like him.

DO OPPOSITES REALLY ATTRACT? Jake smiled back at Ashlynn; he didn't think he'd had this much fun with a girl in a long time, and he loved the fact they could be themselves and goof- off a bit with each other, and they hadn't even known one another very long. He loved how different that Ash was- and how she had her own sense of style and didn't need to dress like every other hollister wearing girl here at Canterbury. Is it true that opposites really attract? Jake started to think that he might really be falling for this girl, but he really wanted to get to know her more. He continued to walk along side of Ashlynn through the campus park, before speaking up and saying- Just to let you know, to me- math is really boring, so I might just doze off for awhile in class, he said jokingly to her; as he nudged his arm against hers and smiled. Truly he could never fall asleep in class especially with Ashlynn in it; his concentration- and his full undivided attention would be to the beautiful teen beside him.
The two seniors eventually made their way through the park, and to the math building of canterbury academy. The building was considerably large; houses classes ranging from the beginning of math with algebra all the way up to calculus. He pulled the door open and held it for Ashlynn, After you, he said, gesturing through the door- acting like such a gentlemen, but he couldn't help but laugh slightly. They walked through the hallway of the building with lockers lined on each side- and Jake easily got them to the Calculus classroom. The door was open- and there were already a few students scattered in a few seats. See the teacher hadn't been assigning seats yet- Jake nudged Ashlynn's arm again with his own; and teasingly said, You can sit by me if you want, he smiled at her- hoping that she truly did want to sit with him so that he wasn't off all alone.

ASHLYNN SKYLAR cortez let's make this a real LOVE STORY.
Oh, really? She asked herself mentally and canted her head to one side, flashing a smirk at him. "I'm sure I can think of ways to keep you awake." Implications seemed thick with that sweet coo of a warm voice and a wink to follow up her words and as he led the way to the class and gestured in a gentlemen's fashion towards the door. Bursting into hysterical giggles, her cheeks blazed with scarlet and her hand hovered over her mouth. "Awh, aren't you just a regular sweetheart?" Her slender body brushed against his own as she sauntered in the classroom. She looked almost worried at the slowly crowding classroom and once Jake's offer was spoken, she smiled despite her previous thoughts of being worried about falling for him.
They were just friends .. right?
Ignoring her own thoughts and the warnings her inner voice was screaming at her to be cautious, she waited for him to head towards his chair and once he sat down, she sat in the chair nearest to him. Class begun and instantly, Ashlynn began to drum her fingers along the top of the desk, humming to herself. The temptation to snag her i-pod and listen to music instead was constant, and she couldn't stop herself from stealing glances occasionally at Jake.
An idea entered her mind and she grinned to herself, getting a sheet of clean notebook paper and writing down in her flowing cursive, 'Tell me more about you. I'm curious about the Bear.' Next to it was a tiny smiley face, to signify that she'd meant the nickname in jest and teasing, as always. After folding it, and slipping it into the top of the tongue of her shoe, she feigned a yawn, and stretched, nonchalantly extending her leg with the shoe that held the note towards Jake.
Wasn't she ever-so cunning?
BABY, IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST NIGHT. [/blockquote]

Jake settled into his seat, around the middle of the classroom, as Ashlynn took the open seat next to him. The minute the bell rang; the teacher began to talk and Jake put his chin on his propped up hand, and stole a glance at Ashlynn- who he saw taking a piece of notebook paper out of her bag, he couldn't help but smile; and Jake had been thinking of doing the same thing, but she beat him to it. She watched her hand flow across the paper, then reverted his eyes back to the teacher who was still blabbering on about nothing at the front of the class. He set his eyes back on Ashlynn who had stuck her foot out in Jake's direction with the foot stuck in her shoe, a wide smile spread across his face, as he slowly pulled the note from her shoe. He unfolded it and smoothed it out on his desk- it read 'Tell me more about you. I'm curious about the Bear.' When he read the ending he couldn't help but smile again, and glanced over at Ashlynn.
He took his black pen from his pocket and scibbled with his boyish hand writing 'well, what do you want to know?' His hand writing like any other guys's was pretty messy; but it was still legible. He folded the paper on the creases where it'd been folded before; and slipped the note back across the desk and tucked it under the edge of one of Ashlynn's other papers and looked at her from the corner of his eye and gave her a half smile, then sat back in his chair and waited for her next note. Their teacher was so caught up in talking about what was going to be taught during the school year, she was completely oblivious to the fact the two of them were passing notes.

ashlynn;
you're the light that makes my darkness go away.
Unlike your typical teenage girl who dotted her i's with cutesy little hearts, Ashlynn, always striving to be an individual, dotted hers with stars. She read his response and grinned, tilting her head and taking a moment to think. A inquisitive expression passed over her delicate features and her teeth sunk into her full lower lip in thought. 'Everything. What makes you tick?' She wrote on the note, chewing on her lip as she debated before quickly scribbling a quick, 'What're you doing afte-' Then almost as quickly, she furiously erased it, hoping he couldn't see what she'd written. Frowning to herself, she shook her head. I absolutely refuse to fall for this guy. I'll only hit the concrete once I do. She told herself in a scolding manner.
Now, with her bright eyes locked on the teacher, she swiftly folded the note back and with a quick flick of her wrist, tossed it onto his lap. Grinning devilishly, she couldn't help but think back on days as a younger teenager back in Elementary and Middle school. Passing notes was certainly one of the funniest things about those days, finding sly ways to get behind the teachers' backs.
Now, she flashed a confident grin at Jake and turned her gaze temporarily to the teacher. She'd put up some kind of colored chart on the board having to do with calculus in some fashion- Ashlynn'd have to actually hit the books this weekend, because she hadn't heard a single word she'd been saying. Why, you might wonder?
Her heart was beating much too fast.
YOU'RE THE CLOSEST TO HEAVEN THAT I'LL EVER BE. [/blockquote]

Jake stole a few more glances at Ashlynn as he saw her pondering on how to respond to what he'd written down on the note. He then saw her furiously erase something then fold the note back up and promptley threw it back, landing a perfect shot onto his lap. Jake grinned and faced her for a moment mouthing a small 'nice one.' He unfolded the note to read 'Everything. What makes you tick?' He smiled, and then tapped his pen on his desk thinking of how to write a response to what she'd written. He finally jotted down; telling you everything right now, wouldn't fit on this piece of paper; but i will tell you when you come to lunch with me after this. :], he wrote that then added underneath it; As long as that's okay with you? he wrote finally capping his pen once again. Jake looked up at the teacher and concentrated on her for a moment- so he didn't look suspicious; she smiled and must thought he'd actually been taking notes on the assignment, ha- wrong. But as the teacher then faced the board to continue her writing. Jake folded the note up into a small paper airplane- not intending to actually fly it the three feet if not even to Ashlynn's desk; he swiftly glided it across until it stopped against one of her books, he smirked lightly at her, then moved his foot over and nudged hers with his; then looked at her and smiled.

ASHLYNN YOUR HEART BEAT IS MY LULLABY.
He responded and folded the note into a paper airplane and she smiled as he did so. Soon enough, the paper airplane was airborne and it struck one of her books and she burst into sudden giggles. Sharply, the teacher's smile transformed into a disapproving scowl and she turned on her heel to face the class, an disappointing glower fixed on Ashlynn. "Miss Cortez, I didn't think calculus was very entertaining. Thank-you for teaching me otherwise." Her glare was icy and her tone was threatening and almost immediately she returned to facing the board, scribbling something in disoriented writing on it.
Rolling her eyes, she slipped his note into her lap and read his response. Glancing up at him, she flashed him a warm grin and nodded. "You're on." She whispered softly. The bell signaling the end of the class rang and she grinned, folding the note back into it's original form and slipped it into the back pocket of her jeans.
Slipping up from her chair, shoulders bumped and brushed by fellow teens as they escaped the confines of the classroom. A boy sitting to Ashlynn's far left flashed her a cocky grin and strode towards her, and almost immediately she backed away. Nonchalantly, she sidled closer to Jake, trying to look as calm as normal. In a hushed tone, unable to be overhead from atop the clatter of books, chairs and the chatting of teens, the boy asked her something and she rapidly shook her head and quickly brushed by him.
"Where to?" She murmured happily as she sidled up next to Jake's side, trying to maintain a controlled expression. Though the joy was hard to contain.
YOU'RE THE COLOR THAT MY WORLD LACKS. [/blockquote]

As the teacher swiftly spun around, and stared down Ashlynn; scolding her for interrupting the class; Jake pressed his lips together to hide his smirk, and to keep himself from laughing and causing even more trouble. The bell suddenly rang; and Jake stood up from sitting in his chair and stretched his hands over his head for a moment, then realized that's about the fastest Calculus class he's ever been through; thanks to ashlynn :]. Just calculus alone, with her was fun. Jake eyed the other guy in the classroom looking at Ashlynn, Jake knew Ash and him weren't a couple or anything but he couldn't help but be a bit defensive as ashlynn looked a bit uncomfortable with the situation, he sliped his arm over ashlynn's shoulders and walked out of the Calculus classroom- removing his arm once they were out in the hallway. Nice going in there; you almost got us busted. Jake told her trying to be serious, and hold but back his laughter.
But soon enough he nudged his elbow agaisnt hers to let her know he was just joking with her. Where to? he heard Ashlynn say; he thought for a moment where they could go to get a bite to eat for lunch. Where ever is fine with me, you can pick, he said smiling down at her before reverting his eyes back down the hallway to watch where he was going. He waited for Ashlynn's response in where she wanted to go get lunch.

ASHlynn♥
JUST BECAUSE SHE COMES OFF STRONG, doesn't mean she didn't fall asleep crying. As Jake slipped his arm around her, she felt an involuntary smile leap across her lips and her heart hammered wildly, only for her face to fall without her noticing it as he removed his arm. But she quickly covered her disappointment up, trying to look collected and normal. "My bad, I'll make it up to you." She laughed softly, grinning at him.
"How about, the Pizzeria or Cafe?"
Her lashes batted as they reached the exit from the building and once they were outside, she paused and looked up at him. Her stomach was tossed, flipped out and in constant knots. Once again, she compelled by that urge to be closer to him and kiss him but she held herself back, idly chewing on her bottom lip with a slight smile. It was too hard not to be happy when he was around..
Feeling so happy .. it felt foreign to the teen.

Jake smiled at Ash's response of making it up to him for almost getting them busted in class, Jake hadn't had so much for or laughed this much around anyone in a long time, and he was so glad that he'd met her at the club last night. The Pizzeria sounds good to me, You want me to drive? He asked her; raising an eyebrow. Jake they slung his arm over Ashlynn's shoulders again and smiled at her.
Then heading out back across campus park; to the boy's dormitory parking lot; where his car was. He looked at Ashlynn for a moment, they moved his eyes forward and spoke; I suppose you want to hear my life story now, he said with a laugh- his life wasn't anything to spectacular; he was pretty much just an ordinary guy.

♥ashlynn. JUST BECAUSE SHE COMES OFF STRONG, doesn't mean she didn't fall asleep crying.
At his confirmation of going to the Pizzeria, she smiled and nodded slowly. At his offer to drive, she adverted her eyes and laughed softly, almost forced. Then, gradually, her grin relaxed into a true, genuine smile. "Yeah, I guess I'm not too familiar with these Cali drivers just yet- not at all close to the 'give-you-the-finger and say fuck-you-jerk' you see in Brooklyn." Giggling softly, she brushed her hair from her face. Her heart immediately began to race as Jake slipped his arm around her.
In that cliche teenage fashion, she felt her palms beginning to get sweaty and she laughed nervously as he spoke. "Better than boring you to death with mine.." She paused, giving him a mysterious smirk. "Or scaring you with it."
