When she told him that she saw the world in different shades of grey, he raised an eyebrow and though about it for a moment. He'd never met anyone truly colorblind- he had friends that distinguished one color as another, but never in just black and white. That was something really unique about Ashlynn and he loved how different she was- and how she wasn't like any other girl he'd met.
The engine started and Jake shifted into reverse and pulled the car out the parking space at the crowded club, he then moved back into drive and made his way to the intersection to head back to Canterbury. He stole a quick glance at Ashlynn as he accelerated when the light turned green, So what grade are you in? Jake asked her; curious to know- he wanted to ask her earlier in the night but it had slipped his mind as Jackie came and started a whole bunch of drama, and he simply wasn't think about anything else the whole night- but how much fun that he was having with Ashlynn.
The drive from the club didn't take that long, and unfortunately soon enough Jake pulled up infront of the girls dorm. He undid his seat belt and went around to the opposite side of the car to get the door for Ashlynn again, he smiled as he opened it and took her hand and led her back over to the sidewalk; and wrapped his arms around her in a hug for a moment then pulled away and said- I had a great time dancing with you tonight, he leaned in slowly and gently kissed her on the cheek, and then straightened himself up and smiled at her.
So do you want me to meet you here tomorrow morning before classes start? He asked the teen standing before him, keeping his word on being her escort to Calculus and Zoology tomorrow.

ASHLYNN JUST BECAUSE SHE COMES OFF STRONG, doesn't mean she didn't fall asleep crying.
The drive hadn't taken very long and soon enough they drove up to the girls doom and she looked up with a slight frown. Oh great. She thought half-heartedly. In all honesty, the night had been fabulous- save for the mishap with his youngster sister, that is. In all honesty, she didn't want the night to end. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, contemplating as he exited his door and went around to her side. She quickly unbuckled and seat belt and took his hand, following him to the sidewalk. Then, she smiled, "I'm starting my senior year now." Looking up at him, she rose her hand and playfully tapped him on his broad chest with it, teeth gleaming in a devious grin.
As he hugged her, she returned it with a broad smirk. She froze instantly as he leaned in, her heart racing in a frenzied manner, fearing but somewhat anticipating a kiss. But instead, he kissed her on the cheek and scarlet blazed across her porcelain cheeks. Flashing him a grin, she giggled softly. "I'd love for you too. And I had a really great night, too." Ashlynn responded, looking at him with a look of conflicting emotions. Leaning close, she stood on her tip-toes, driven by impulse and placed a timid kiss on his lips.
Just as suddenly, she abruptly stepped back and shyly looked up at him, shocked and dismayed at her own actions. "I- .." She stammered, startled. Swallowing hard, she frowned to herself. "I'm sorry," Adverting her eyes quickly, she swallowed and glared down at his shoes as if they could somehow erase what she'd labeled as a mistake. "I'm not exactly the kinda person you need in your life," She murmured softly, hoping that he wouldn't really hear, shaking her head, more so to herself than to him. She took a step to the side, making a move to go to the Girls' Dorm's entrance. "I'll.. I'll see you in the morning." She paused, biting down gently on her lower lip. "Before class, of course."
So, maybe she was being a hypocrite. But, she wanted to despreatly to get to know him. Even if he wouldn't like who she really was in the end.
MAYBE SHE'S JUST REALLY GOOD AT LYING. [/blockquote]

I'm a senior this year too, Jake said smiling down at her. He liked that she was shorter than him- it was always awkward whenever he was around a girl that was actually taller than him. He was really glad that Ashlynn had, had as good of time tonight as he did. And before he knew it, in the blink of an eye she was on her tip-toes kissing him; but only for a mere second, before she pulled abruptly away. Jake was slightly confused at the action just taken; as she stammered on about how she was sorry; Jake gently added, hey- its okay.. All he heard after that was something that Ashlynn whispered to herself, but he didn't want to ask. She moved away to the side; and Jake took it as a sign to let her head off to the dorms, as she said I'll see you in the morning, jake responded with; Good night, Ash, a little smirk on his face as he said it then added- I'll see you in the morning, and walked back to his car settling in his seat. He watched Ashlynn get safely into the dorms before he buckled his seatbelt and drove back to the guys dorm.
