In Ashlynn's opinion, this town and this academy was the last thing she needed. It was full of people who wouldn't accept her, and why would they? She wasn't from their little high-class life of wine and sororities. Her head low, hair falling infront of her eyes as she kept her head ducked, shoulders hunched as she practically drug her feet along the pavement on the path towards the pizzeria. "I don't belong here- I mean, what the hell do they think I am? A socialite?" She hissed aloud, a scowl flashing across her face to tug her lips down. Now at a jog, she approached the door to the pizzeria and grabbed the handle, flinging it open and stepping inside. Almost instantly, she was welcomed with the chatter of teenagers, the ringing of cell phones and the smell of cooking pizza.
"A medium extra cheese, please. Thanks." She murmured softly, slipping the bills over the counter to the girl at the cash register before slinking to one of the furthest tables near a window. Her attire was far from a "prep's" style. Dressed in tight, skinny dark blue jeans that clung to her long, slender legs and a white tank top worn underneath her dark black and lime green hoodie. Not that she could really see the colors, mind you. In various areas of the jeans, there were doodles and signatures. Names, dates, and random quotes in miscellaneous places like her pockets, her shin, and even one on her thigh. Courtesy of her friends back home, of course.
"You know what, this bites."
Ashlynn muttered darkly underneath her breath and slumped down in her chair, placing her elbows on the table and propping up her head with her hands. She closed her eyes and let the idle chatter of the Pizzeria occupants drown out the thoughts cluttering her head.

Levi held the basketball under his left arm and his right hand was in his pockets. He drug his basketball shoes along the sidewalk. He didnt know what to eat. He stumble upon the pizzaria and he looked inside. Looks good to me. Levi thought to himself. He pushed open the doors that lead him into a place full of teenagers talking. He looked around for a spot to sit down. He found the first open one but it was by a girl who he didnt know. Excuse me? Do you mind if I sit here? Levi asked her. He looked at the waitress that was trying to get his order. I'll have a medium hawiian please. Levi said handing the money forward. He sat down in the open seat. Oh is someone sitting here? Levi asked looking at the girl. He hoped that he hadnt been rude to sit in someone she was waiting for spot.
He blushed lightly. Your so rude! Levi said to himself. The waitress brought over his pizza. By the way I'm Levi .I go to Canterbury Academy. Levi said smiling. He looked around for another spot in case he had to move. He took a peice of his pizza and took a bite out of it. He set the basketball on the floor and put his foot on it. He rolled it between his feet not letting it leave his feet. He waited for her to reply and was ready to move in case she wanted him to.

The bells attached to the Pizzeria door chimed, ringing merrily as yet another person entered. Ashlynn didn't bother looking up, knowing it was just another teen who'd soon skip off to join their friends at the back of the pizzeria. Placing her chin in her hand to prop her head up, she placed her elbow on the table and stared blankly out of the window at the world outside. Glancing up quickly at the sound of rapidly approaching steps, she looked up to find a boy slipping into the ope nseat at her table. She blinked as he spoke, opening her mouth to reply but she shut her mouth immediately as he ordered. A bit taken back, she glanced at the waitress then back at the stranger. Forcing a smile on her face, she tilted her head curiously.
"No, no one's sitting there and no sweat, it's fine." Soon enough, the waitress brought his pizza and her own as well. She almost grimaced at the sight of the pizza. She was hungry but she always felt considerably awkward eating infront of someone- especially someone she didn't even know. Quirking a brow as she spoke up again, she took a bite out of a piece of cheese pizza before responding. "Great to meet you. Name's Ashlynn," Her eyes flickered with vague interest, glancing at the basketball as he placed it on the ground and set his foot atop it. Now, a genuine smile swept across her full, crimson lips. "Yeah, I go there too.. unfortunately."
She paused, regarding him quietly for several moments.
"You don't look like the horse type. No offense."

Levi smiled slyly. No offense taken. Levi smiled. I know I dont. I love horses but sports are something I enjoy when I'm not around horses. I love to ride horses though. Levi said. Everyone told him that he didnt look like he rode horses or liked horses. The truth was he loved riding horses espicially jumping. Levi looked down at his basketball attire. He had just came back from the gym. Levi took another bite of his pizza.
And thanks for letting me sit here. And nice to meet you. Levi said to her smiling. You dont like Canterbury? Levi asked her. He was curious to why she didnt like it but it was her opinion about the place and everyone had their own opinion. He looked into her eyes. Levi kept kicking the basketball around making sure that it wouldnt leave his two feet. He wouldnt want someone to fall over it now. Levi shook his head getting the hair off of his forehead. He smiled at her and then took another bite of his pizza.

She'd been watching him quietly for several minutes, staring at him intently. Like always, she seemed to act like if she stared hard enough, she might "discover" colors. "I see," She tilted her head, brushing her own hair from her face as she regarded him thoughtfully. "No problem. Ashlynn murmured softly and closed her eyes, leaning back into the somewhat uncomfortable metal chair with a soft sigh. 'You don't like Canterbury?' His inquiry slash assumption had hit the nail directly on the head, so to speak. She opened a single eye and peered at him curiously before soon enough, the other opened as well and she stared silently at him. Pursing her lips, she frowned in thought before slowly shaking her head.
"In a way, I suppose. I love horses.. But," She paused, sinking her teeth into her full lower lip in frustration. How could she word it? It didn't even sound nice in her head. She didn't want to offend him, the last thing she needed in this town was enemies. "Well, in all honesty, to be frank with you, this lifestyle.. it just isn't mine. These people here.. they don't know a thing about my life, or what I've been through. But they're still going to judge me because of it, you know? They've practically had everything handed to them in a bloody hand basket."
She scowled, then realization kicked in and she looked at him sheepishly. "Uh, no offense or anything."

Levi smiled at her. His cousin who also went to Canterbury had had a pretty tough life and wasnt to excited about coming to Canterbury. I understand what your saying. I know my life has always been pretty good...but I know what its like cause my cousin hasnt had the best life either. Nothing was ever handed down to. She had to work for everything. Levi said. He didnt want to make it sound like he had a great life. He did but things werent always the best.
In my veiw everyone has their own opinons and I think they should be voiced. Levi said smiling. He didnt want her to think that he was hurting his feelings. Levi understood other peoples opinions better then most people. Some people would have a cow saying oh i dont like this but not for Levi. He listened to everyone and what they had to say. He cared about other people more then he did himself. He wanted to make sure everyone was happy but he had his other side too.

She nodded in agreement with his statement, quirking a brow in inquisition as he spoke his final comment and grinned. "You're certainly not the typical jock." She murmured softly and glanced out of the window once more. It was considerably cold outside, surprising for California weather. Her dark eyes cut sharply to him and she grinned once more. "So, are you from California, originally? Or did you just come here for the horses?"
Ashlynn murmured playfully, fiddling with the wristband on her right wrist. It was a bright, almost eccentric shade of pink. Then again, almost all the colors Ashlynn wore were electrically bright and shocking. But it made her style unique, to say the least. Considering she can't decipher one color from the next. As she heard herself speak, she felt her lips tug downward in a slight frown of agitation. Her accent, it was so much more different than the ones here. Considering she was originally from Brooklyn, New York- one can only imagine how different a valley girl and a Brooklyn chick sounded.
It was certainly amusing to say the very least.

Nah, I lived in Nebraska. Levi said. He was ready to get out of his small town in Nebraska. Sure he had his friends and he had a girlfriend but he was ready for a change. He left everyone back at home. The only person he knew was his cousin who was from Kentucky. He thought about his home town. Nothing to big like no one would probably even know where it was. He needed to go to a bigger school so he thought California would be the right place for him. What about you? Where are you from? Levi asked.
Levi put his hand in his pocket and it ran into the Rumor, his cell phone. He slid the slider in and out and then stopped. He took his hand out of his pocket and grabbed his pizza slice. He thought about going to the beach after this for a walk or maybe a run. He hadnt been to the beach in a long time so he thought that would be the place to go. He dont know why but after eating some of his pizza he thought he would have to go run it off. Levi smiled at her and then turned his head to eat another bite.
