Don't let anyone tell you otherwise
The blonde senior wandered among the racks of clothes in Aeropostale, her mind wandering. She looked quite elegent today, in slim fitting, white-washed jeans, brown wedges, and a classy brown top. The sides of her hair were pulled back, with a few strands left hanging to frame her pretty face, drawing much attention to her beautiful blue eyes, which were accented by turquoise green 'shadow and eyeliner. Her already rosy cheeks wore no blush, but her lips were a nice, shiny, cotton candy pink. A blackish messenger bag wa s hung over her shoulder and she looked very preppy. In fact, you might have mistaken her for a prep...Maybe even a queen. She certainly carried herself like one, with her back straight and head high, but she wasn't even close....She was just confident. She knew how to carry herself and come across however she wanted. Now she looked quite relaxed, but there was still something preppy about her.
Now she was just bored and had nothing better to do, so she'd decided to come to the mall and see what there was to see. She was quite impressed by it, but wasn't actually in much of a shopping mood...But, hey, it wasn't as if she had anything better to be doing. And besides, she wasn't really shopping, just seeing what there was to be seen. And she liked what she saw...If only she actually felt like shopping!
She wandered out of Aeropostale, finally just getting too bored to be able to deal with it. She slipped down the mall, and into a pretzel place, falling into line and ordering a regular salted preztel with cheddar cheese. She seated herself at one of the small square tables and settled down to eat. Her purse was set on the chair next to her, with a watchful eye on it for any pickpockets. Her gaze wandered over hte people, watching them indifferently as they walked by. She wondered, as she always did when she watched people walking by in their every day lives, what their story was. What they did, if they had a family? Who could know? But it was interesting to think about...Sometimes her imagination took over and Mackenzie began making life stories up for them...Maybe not the best thing to do, but hey, it kept her entertained, didn't it?

the girl stood in the never - ending line at taco bell. she waited impatiently for her turn to order. she tapped the toe of her brown cowboy boot on the floor and let out a small sigh. it was only taylor's first day at canterbury, but even still, she had never seen any more people at a mall before. she moved up a step in line as she fixed her dark brown tank top - with gold accents - to lay nicely over her vintage wash skinny jeans and gold sparkle belt.
finally it was her turn. after minutes upon minutes of waiting, taylor stepped up to the counter. "two soft tacos with chicken, cheese and lettuce only please." she said as the lady looked at her with a blank face. taylor pulled ten dollars out of her brown leather wallet and returned in to her white tote. the cashier snatched the bill out of her hand and quickly returned her change.
taylor lifted her tray off the counter and set out to find a place to sit. the mall was crowded, which meant finding a table would be a nearly impossible task to complete. she mingled down the rows and rows of tables, filled with goths, mothers with children running around like crazy, and what she thought seemed to be the rest of the human population. as she continued her journey, taylor got to busy looking around, and forgot to look down. someone hand spilled some soda near the aisle, and taylor stepped right in it. she went sliding along the floor and her feet flew out from under her. everyone that had seen that was now laughing. at least her tacos were wrapped up, so she could still eat those.
"great, the first day and already im making a complete fool of myself."

The girl glanced up as she heard the people around her laugh, her gaze trailing to the other getting to her feet. A sympathetic look cast over her solemn blue eyes and she rose to her feet, leaving her pretzel and wandering over, extending her hand to help the girl up, seeing as how no one else seemed willing to. "I'm Mackenzie," she offered by way of explanation. "You go to Canterbury?" she asked curiously. She tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear as she offered an open, welcoming smile.
"Care to sit down?" she asked, motioning to the table where she'd situated herself before the lunch crowd hit...She wandered over and dropped into her seat again, fingers trailing over her purse to make sure it was still there. She couldn't say she really trusted the people here. Not sure why. Just a city thing, she supposed. She was always kind of suspicious, and it really hadn't been wise to just leave her purse laying there.
But everything was intact, nothing was missing, so it was all good, but she made mental note of the fact that she'd been lucky. She turned to the girla nds miled slightly. She finished her pretzel and balled up the wrapper and tossing it in the nearby garbage can. She really hated clutter. "SO how long have you been here?" she asked hte other girl curiously..
