Dear Rider,
I am sending you this letter to tell you that you have been accepted at Bonita Valle Riding Academy. You will have the oppurtunity to train at a high class facility complete with professional horses and trainers.
Before you pack up, though, there are a few things you need to know:
Our history, of course, is of great importance since Bonita Valle is where you will be spending most of your time in the coming years. In the 1700's, a small, lush valley was found by some Spaniards searching for gold. Instead of riches, they discovered that the valley was filled with horses. The horses were a hardy breed, most likely Mustangs. So the Spaniards bred their fine Spanish horses to the hardy Mustang-like horses and produced beautiful Spanish horses that possessed great stamina. The Spaniards settled in the valley and named it Bonita Valle, which means 'Beautiful Valley' in Spanish. Generation after generation came in possession of the valley until eventually a wealthy American couple bought the valley and turned it into a grand place for riding. They passed it on to their daughter, who in turn passed it on to hers. And so Bonita Valle is now in my possession.
Only the top riders are accepted into our prestigious academy, so consider yourself very privileged. You will be expected to compete in numerous shows around the country and the pressure will be quite intense. Everyone knows of Bonita Valle's outstanding reputation and our riders are expected to live up to that reputation.
Are you up to the challenge?
Sincerely,
Rosalie C. Stratford
