Up on Tanglewood Hill sits the manor of Draven. Within those old walls lie a million stories but the last one would be the one you are interested in. It was a hundred years ago, the night of the twenty nineth of febuary; the night of Elizabeth Draven's marriage. She was all set to married to the most wonderful man in the world. She sat in her bedroom changing into that pretty white dress that flowed all the way to the ground. The bride's maids all watched and giggled with excitement as they couldn't wait to see their best friend to be married. She waited...and waited, the anticipation caused her stomach to jitter and her heart to flutter. The time came for the ceremony and there was no sign of her groom. She waited...and waited, the anticipation caused her stomach to lurch and her heart was on the verge of breaking. A note was finally discovered by one of the bride's maids and she handed it to Elizabeth. As Elizabeth read the note, her heart sunk and she felt her tears come falling down. She sent the bride's maids out and sat, staring at the mirror; all the heart and soul she put in to this relationship and this marriage. She watched her tears mixing in with her make-up and she just cried and cried. She made her way down stairs and told everyone the wedding was off and they all had to leave. That was the last thing she said to anyone. She cried the rest of the night until she finally decided she couldn't live without the man of her life. She commited suicide. Now, that's not the interesting side. The interesting part of the story is after her death, all the people who attended the party started to die one by one over the next few years. They all died under strange circumstances and not one of them survived. They say that every one of those ghosts are now in that manor, awaiting the groom so they can be set free.
"AH! Shut up Kitty!" shouted the Markson twins at the same time. Kitty let out a small giggle. "Wha? It's true, don't believe me, wait until we get in there, y'never know, we might see a ghost or two," she said with a grin but inside, feeling that cold chill of the dead haunting all around them.
The school of Millton High is on a school trip is being taken to the Draven Manor for a number of reasons; local history, a great spot to draw and to get rid of a bunch of the kids and get paid extra to do so. All the teenagers aged from forteen to eighteen piled into the manor. They were ready for the week of a lifetime, just hanging out, sleeping, drinking, playing games and get up to everything else a teenager would get up to without supervision. Lurking in the corners of the manor were the ghosts ready to trap their new guests and invite them to the party of the dead. The swinging wedding party occurs every night, the bride even gets involved, still awaiting that groom. The teenagersto start off with don't notice these strange goings on like things moving and going missing. When the students finally realise they are staying in a house with a number of ghosts have a variety of different reactions. The ghosts also have different reactions to the students. All the ghosts have one vendetta really and that is to get Elizabeth to marry once and for all and then they will finally be free, away from the years of being able to see food but never eat it, to see other people and unable to give them that comforting embrace but to make a chill run up their arm. The ghosts can demateralise when they feel like it, making it easier for them to get around and hide from other people but if they are materalised they can touch, they can also but touched themselves.
Will the ghosts achieve their goal? Will the students return home fine?Find out and visit; DRAVEN MANOR. [/size][/blockquote]
