Her small pale fingers gripped the neck of the Southern Comfort bottle for dear life as she made her way slowly along the beach, stumbling every now and then upon air. Chloe had long been wasted, but her intoxicated state didn't let her care about anything. So far, she hated the town she was forced to move to, wanting to go anywhere but here, at the moment. And yet, she stood, staring out at the easy rolling waves that cascaded into the beach.
A light, angry sigh escaped her mouth as she brought the glass bottle to her lips, taking a large swig of the posioness liqiud as she leaned her head back. When looking back up she stumbled lightly upon the sand before falling to the ground with a loud thump. Her bottle was thrown to the side, allowing a little to pour from it. And her legs were stinging from the sand. But the first words that escaped the smalls girls mouth were unexpected in this situation. "Noo, alcohol abuse." she said, through giddy laughter, reaching forward for the bottle as she slouched in the sand.
Grabbing it with the quick motion of her hands, she brought it to her lips once again. Letting the warm liquid slide down her throat, leaving a burning sensation that warmed every part of her. It was around the time of sunset, maybe a tad bit later, just about to get dark. And here Chloe was, already wasted and most likely easy to take advantage of in any way. The state of intoxication didn't let her do much of anything.

eyebrows raised, the teenage boy approached the sitting figure from behind. curiosity has driven him to walk over to were he had watched her stumble to the sand. by the time he had made his way half ay across the beach, he could tell what the problem was. alcohol. cole's shoes sunk down into the warm sand. his skinny jeans were a medium shade of navy, and were currently coated in a small layer of sand from sitting on the beach earlier in the day. although the sleeves of his striped sweater were rolled up because of the pleasant weather. cole's brown hair was straight, and his bangs were swept across his forehead to the left. just below his bottom lip, he sported two silver studs.
cole shook his head gently, but he couldn't help but smile a bit as he bent over slightly behind her. you okay? his quiet, velvet voice asked with genuine concern, hoping that it was nothing more serious than the fact that she had just fallen over. his own memories of drunken spills and hungover mornings flooded back into his head as he spoke. he had been asked those exact same words countless times over the last few years. although, having been determined not to let drinking become his way to hide from his sorrow after his brother's death, he had been spending his life sober for almost a year.

Chloe sat, slouching upon the sand as she clutched the bottle against her chest. Staring down at the sand her fingers danced upon it, tracing designs before she was startled by a male's voice. Jumping at least an inch forward, a giddy squeal came from her lips. "A-are you tryin to give meh a hearty tack?"she asked, slurring her words as she clutched the bottle closer to her chest, making sure none had spilled in the incident.
She took a small swig from the bottle, letting the warm liquid glide down her throat before she opened her mouth to speak, most likely her breath reeking from alcohol, but she didn't know the difference. Looking back at the boy she gave a light flirtatious smile. "I'm goood."she said over exaggerating her words while raising an eyebrow curiously. "Wan some?" she offered, extending the almost empty bottle to him. Her sun dress was covered in sand, along with her long pale legs. But she didn't really notice.

not intentionally, he replied with a friendly smile. cole couldn't help but watch the girl's long legs for a second, but he quickly tore his bright blue eyes away, looking back at her face. a small smile once more crept up the corners of his lips, and he placed a hand innocently on her shoulder, squatting down next to her. cole shook his head, but took the bottle from her loose grip. no, i'm good. here, i'll take this.. cole noticed as she swayed, and a small chuckle pushed from the depths of his lungs. he twisted his torso around, reaching out and placing the light bottle in the sand a foot away. as the boy turned back to the drunken girl next to him, his blue eyes were smoldering, what are you doing out here? curiosity once more drove his interrogation. who was she? why was she drinking in public when she was obviously underage? cole removed his hand from her shoulder, using it to support himself on the sand instead.

Chloe let out a soft giggle, shaking her head lightly as he squatted down next to her, with help from her shoulder. Which only caused her to sway lightly. Chloe gasped as he took the bottle from her hands, but her reflexes didn't work fast enough for her to grasp it back, and she let a small pout grace her lips."Noo."she protested, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she pouted. Falling back into the sand, she caused her dress to go up slightly but she ignored it."Yoor so meean."she complained childishly, giggling slightly as she felt the sand in her hair. She looked up at the boy with curious eyes, turning her head to stare at the bottle for a moment, before back at him. "What does it loook like I am doin?"she asked in retort, though her voice was soft and playful.

cole sighed as she fell back into the sand, her hair becoming coated in white sand. he allowed a second of silence to drip past before he responded to her rhetorical question, it looks like you're being stupid and getting drunk in public. he kept his tone playful, a smile forming once more on his pale lips as to keep her from becoming mad at him. public intoxication was extremely stupid, and cole couldn't really see a real reason for her to be doing it. right after the words fell from his mouth, he added on to it, tell me, what's your name? she looked so young, but she obviously, or at least he prayed to god, that she wasn't much younger than himself. someone this wasted better not be like, twelve, cole thought to himself.

Chloe rolled her eyes at his response, playing lightly with strands of her hair. "Maybe I am." she sighed twisting her hair within her fingers as she stared up at the sky. "Questions, questions, questions. That's all anyone ever wants from me." she complained turning around so that she was on her stomach as she placed her head in her hands. "I just wanna go home." she whined into the palm of her hands. She kept her face in her hands for a few moments, breathing in and out before she glanced at the boy. "Why do you care, hunh?" she started angrily, "I'm just another one night stand, just another person to blow off, just another failure." her voice coming out as though she were sobbing, black tears streaking her face, causing some sand to stick to her face here and there.

cole was a bit taken aback by the route her words had begun down. but then again, he had kind of brought it on himself by calling what she was doing stupid. the boy restrained himself from brushing the strands of fallen hair away from her eyes. she looked like a drunken mess, but he felt for her at the same time. obviously, she had experienced some of the really great things about being a teenager. seeing the tears well up behind her black eyelashes, he felt sudden wave of comprehension for the anger behind her words. he had been there before, and he knew how bad it felt. people always say that you're never more honest than when you're drunk.
whoa, whoa, hold up, cole bent down a bit over a bit more, trying to become a bit more level with her eyes without having to lie down himself, i'm pretty sure you misunderstood me. i'm just trying to help, nothing more than that. he felt like assuring her that not all people were looking to hurt her, and that she wasn't stupid, and not a failure... but for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to say the words that he was thinking. he was instead staring into her wet eyes with a small frown, and the words that fell from him lips last were, i swear.

Chloe couldn't control any of her emotions, staring back into his eyes, probably making a complete fool of herself as the dark tears streaked her cheeks. She was a complete druken, teenage wreck and there wasn't much she could do now. She tried to calm herself, to sort out her thoughts but it had all been mixed and confused due to the alcohol which now clouded her thoughts. She stared at the boy with a questionable expression, her eyes overwhelmed with hot tears. Dropping her hands to the sand she shook her head, trying to grasp the meaning behind his words but it was too much to take on in her intoxicated state. She played with grains of sand, sifting them through her wet fingers as the tears continued to stain her pale face. "C-c-hloe prescott." she finally choked out, getting onto her knee's, swaying slightly with every movement made. Her body was trembling, but it was more of being cold then her actual tears, even though they played a part.
Her skin was set ablaze and she felt as though she had a tremendously high fever, so every breeze that kissed her cold skin made her shiver. She let the tears run freely as she attempted in pushing her bangs out of her face, failing miserably, almost falling face first in the sand. She placed her hands out in front of her, in hopes of stopping herself from falling. Everything was spinning around her, no matter how hard she tried to focus she just couldn't. "C-could y-you please w-walk me h-home?" she stammered through hot tears, trying to hold them back as she looked up at the boy through black lashes. She just wanted everything to go away, she was tired of feeling intoxicated and more importantly she was tired of feeling unwanted.

nice to meet you, chloe, the boy's voice was tainted with a humor-filled smile, i'm cole. although, chloe was already busy attending, or trying to attend to, her messy bangs. cole muttered under his breath in a sarcasic tone, but i'm sure you won't remember me tomorrow. as the words fell from his mouth, he reached out and placed his hands gently onto her waist, attempting to steady her. she had made her way up onto her knees before he could really stop her from trying to stand. shaking his head gently, and chuckling absentmindedly, he stood up and outstretched his hand for her to take, of course. come on, though... let's get you vertical first, then we'll work on taking you home.

Chloe even though she couldn't show her greatfulness at the moment, was really glad it had been him rather then some creep that had found her on the beach. Normally her druken nights would end in complete disaster, but tonight that didn't seem to be the way things were going. Chloe attempted to laugh, repeating his name in a soft murmur, as though it was going to help her remember it, though she doubted she'd remember a thing. Taking her arm, she wiped her face upon it. Chloe hadn't noticed his attempt to stabilize her swaying. When she looked up at him, she instantly took his hand within her own, nodding lightly towards his statement.
Her eyes stared at the ground as she attempted in pushing herself up, one hand sinking in the sand as the other was joined with his. Her feet found the soft ground, them also assisting in the journey of getting up. Upon getting to her feet, her head spun with clouded thoughts and one of her hands was instantly placed upon his shoulder. "Your a life saver." she murmured, staring at his face with a somewhat bright smile as she tried to stand up straight, with out the occasional swaying, but it didn't work.

cole couldn't help but love happy drunks. chloe grinned at him, holding onto his shoulder for support, and he smiled back, on the verge of laughing out loud. although he restrained himself, just in case she was going to start crying or accusing him again. i do what i can, he responded to her remark playfully. the teen took a step nearer, wrapping his arm securely around her waist and taking hold of one of her hands to help steady her ever further. glancing around, he was thankful that the beach was vacant. okay, c'mon, let's do this. slowly, he helped her take a few steps forward. it was a slow process, but hey, at least she was staying on her feet.

Chloe let out a soft laugh as she stared mindlessly at the sand over his shoulder, she couldn't even remember what she was supposed to be doing till she was welcomed with his hand wrapped securely around her waist. Her body was pressed against his slightly, taking in any warmth his body gave off as she placed her head on his shoulder. Her dress was swaying slightly in the ocean breeze slightly covered in sand from all the rolling around. As they started to walk Chloe changed her eyes to the ground, taking slow steps as she left her hand upon his back, just trying to stay on her feet. His body was the only thing stopping her from swaying, and pretty much the only thing keeping her up. "Your so warm."she murmured, through her intoxicated state, a soft giggle escaping her lips.

cole chuckled, supporting the majority chloe's weight on his shoulder. the boy was suddenly very thankful that she at least wasn't bigger than he was. their progress was still slow, but cole didn't mind, he was happy to be helping someone who defiantly needed it. am i? you're pretty warm, too. he responded nonchalantly, stumbling clumsily himself and nearly causing them to both to tumble to the ground. the wind rushed up from behind them, causing cole's hair to fly around and away from his head. he chuckled, trying his hardest to support chloe, and to keep her from bombing into the sand face first.
ooc - ew, bad, sorry.

Chloe let out a soft laugh. "Psh, am not. I feel like a damn icicle." she said, with wide grin, nuzzling her nose into the hollow of his neck. Her arms were placed around his waist as they walked slowly through the sand, leaning into him for support. But he managed to trip over his own two feet which almost caused Chloe to follow, but out of some miracle she kept herself from falling to the sand, or swaying to much really. The buzz must have been wearing off, only slightly. Her sun dress blew lightly in the ocean's breeze, it was half tempted to reveal her underwear but it never got farther then a little past her knee. "Where are we going?" she asked absentmindedly, looking up at him with a small curious smile. Removing one hand from his waist she pulled a stray strand of hair that head been blowing in the breeze, and placed it behind her ear. Her hand going back to the spot it had been before.
ooc- 'tis all good. =D
